Starfield is already available in Early Access for those who have purchased the Premium Pass. Tomorrow, it will be "fully" available on Xbox Game Pass for all other users, but many have already completed the main quest and experienced the credits before diving into New Game Plus.
According to True Achievements, 909 players have unlocked "One Giant Leap," which is obtained by completing the final quest. Many more will join them. At the time of writing, 1,300 players have successfully completed the penultimate quest, "Unearthed." Just three quests behind, "High Price to Pay" was completed by 3,190 players. Bethesda's stories are not overly long, so the number could significantly increase before the launch of Starfield, unless they all get distracted.
Another extremely impressive or worrisome - depending on perspective - feat is that 33 players have visited every single star system. 31 of them have also landed on 100 out of the total 1,000 planets. In a week, I doubt they have seen much of them, but hey, enjoy the mapping of the populated systems. Fortunately, in Starfield, there is no achievement for visiting all the planets.
It is evident that some individuals have been playing Starfield continuously since the start of Early Access, as indicated by the fact that 118 players have already reached level 100. For comparison, 34,672 players have reached level ten, while a significantly smaller number of players - 2,873 - have reached level 25. In my experience, completing both the main quest and the entire Crimson Fleet faction storyline was sufficient to reach level 20, so who knows how certain individuals have managed to progress five times as far already.
Starfield is vast. Although not all 1,000 planets are interesting or even worth visiting, being a Bethesda role-playing game means it offers a multitude of quests, multiple factions with their own "main" campaigns, and numerous side activities such as constructing outposts and ships that players can engage in.
You can rush through the main story if you wish, but there are still many other things to explore before transitioning to the New Game Plus. At the time of writing, over 15,000 players have joined the UC Vanguard, 9,466 have aligned themselves with the Freestar Rangers, 6,555 have been employed by Ryujin Industries, and 6,309 have donned their pirate hats and joined the Crimson Fleet.
Others have been busy creating their own homes in the galaxy, as 26,353 have built at least one outpost. 85 have taken it a step further and constructed five, connecting them through cargo links. However, only ten have gathered 500 organic resources. It appears that most of us are embarking on quests or exploring to uncover ancient superpowers.
