A player in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has created a machine specifically designed to torment the Koroks found in Hyrule.
The machine utilizes Link's abilities to transport the Koroks and roast them in fire generated by Zonai Flame Emitters.
This is not the first time players have devised methods to torment the Koroks. Other fans have already created bungee jumps and other contraptions for the tiny NPCs.
A player of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has devised a novel machine specifically designed to torment the Koroks found in Hyrule. While Tears of the Kingdom introduced new faces to the Zelda franchise, many familiar characters can be found in the latest installment, including the plant-like Koroks.
Koroks have been a part of the Zelda series for some time now, appearing in games such as Wind Waker and Breath of the Wild. However, Tears of the Kingdom gives these characters a new twist. Not only are they scattered throughout Hyrule, but some of them also require Link's assistance in reuniting with their friends. These tasks have allowed players to devise methods for transporting the Koroks across the various terrains of the world, and some have used this ability for cunning purposes.
A player of Tears of the Kingdom has developed a unique and amusing method to torment Koroks within the game. Going by the name zelda_watchan on Twitter, this player recently shared a video showcasing their formidable machine specifically designed to inflict suffering upon these little NPCs. In the clip, Link stands beside a Zonai steering wheel, observing a gigantic basket-like contraption containing petrified Koroks. After a moment, Link throws an egg at the device, causing it to come to life. This machine, constructed by zelda_watchan, begins swinging back and forth, subjecting the unfortunate creatures to the scorching heat of fire generated by Zonai Flame Emitters.
Apart from the amusing yet unsettling contraption created for capturing the Koroks, the video clip from zelda_watchan stood out due to the quantity of captured tiny NPCs. Based on the video, it appeared that they had nearly 20 Koroks on the flat surface of the machine.
This latest creation by zelda_watchan showcases the potential of Link's new abilities in Tears of the Kingdom. In addition to skills such as merging and ascending, players can obtain the Ultrahand early on in the adventure. This allows them to create all sorts of contraptions, going beyond the basics and crafting unique and intricate designs, just as zelda_watchan has done with their deadly device.
It should be noted that the torture of Koroks within the Zelda community is nothing new. Many fans have devised their own diabolical methods to torment the tiny NPCs of the game. For instance, another creative player in Tears of the Kingdom constructed a bungee jump for Koroks, plunging the frightened creatures from a cliff edge into the depths below. With numerous players continuing to develop fascinating machines in the game, it seems to be only a matter of time until the next Korok torture device is constructed.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is available for the Nintendo Switch.
