Armored Core 6 already has a cursed CJ mod

Over the years, FromSoftware has managed to build a rather dedicated modding community that has been showcasing their talents in the Dark Souls series and a variety of other Souls-like titles for quite some time. This means that the recent launch of Armored Core 6 has brought more modders than ever before into contact with the series. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that they are already working, less than 24 hours after its release, to make the game as unsettling as possible.
The mentioned modification has removed the customizable AC that one can control in Armored Core 6 and replaced it with a horribly distorted version of CJ from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. This absolute monstrosity comes from a recently uploaded video on YouTube by Dropoff and was created in collaboration with co-modder TKGP.
You will be delighted to learn that this video doesn't simply showcase the model and leave it at that. Instead, Dropoff takes Mecha-CJ on one of the earlier missions of the game, to defeat an enemy AC, much to the dismay of the corporations on Rubicon. Right from the beginning of the mission, we see that the modification doesn't go as far as attaching weapons to CJ's body, as shoulder mounts simply hover in the air behind him. However, this does suggest that Mecha-CJ possesses psychic powers, which is a much more terrifying notion.
While this modification is indeed creepy and somewhat impressive, you'll be surprised to learn that this is not the first time CJ has been transformed into horrifying forms for a modification. The poor guy has been mixed into titles he doesn't actually belong to, even when the main character is not human. Perhaps you recall that when Stray (the adorable game by Annapurna Interactive where you play as a cat) was first released, modders immediately began transforming CJ into a cat form, and the results were quite disturbing, to say the least.
Fortunately, it seems that there is no way to download this modification. Neither Dropoff nor TKGP have shared a link to the modification or uploaded it on websites like Nexus Mods. Therefore, we will have to be content with this short video. We should truly be grateful because it has already caused enough psychological damage as it is.
If this video has convinced you in any way about Armored Core 6 and you want to learn more about the game before diving into Rubicon yourself, you can read our review here. However, don't expect any GTA protagonists to appear in the main game.
