Armored Core 6 is inherently challenging right from the start, which is not particularly surprising considering the reputation of its developer, FromSoftware, for creating highly demanding yet satisfying titles. In contrast to Elden Ring or the Dark Souls series, one cannot gain a significant advantage in Armored Core 6 simply by constant leveling or over-leveling, making some of the toughest battles an extremely intense test of skill that many individuals find difficult to navigate without resorting to unfair tactics. One only needs to observe the number of people who give up after the tutorial boss's thrashing to recognize this.
Just like in all other games developed by FromSoftware, Armored Core 6 also lacks an easy mode, which would have likely been practical for many less experienced players who had to give up due to the challenge. Fortunately, a fan of the game has taken it upon themselves to create such a mode and devise an improvised "easy mode" that significantly enhances the chances of success when it comes to triumphing over the boss battles within the game.
The modification can be found on Nexus Mods and was recently uploaded by the modder Vawser. Interestingly, this modification doesn't actually reduce the damage taken, but rather grants you a set of enhancements to make you significantly stronger. Firstly, this modification reduces the energy burden and weight of your equipment by 50 percent, essentially allowing you to have a fast and agile mech while still possessing tremendous firepower.
Not only that, but it also increases the overall number of rounds for each individual weapon by 300 percent of the standard value. This means that you can shoot as much as you want without worrying about running out of ammunition. So, if you want to attach miniguns to the arms and shoulders of your mech and overwhelm your opponent with a torrent of bullets, this modification allows you to do exactly that. Additionally, you earn significantly more money through missions and arena battles, eliminating the need to spend any time tediously collecting cash to purchase the weapons you desire.
Most importantly, this modification also increases the effective range of each weapon by 300 percent of the standard value. This means that you can fire your weapons at your enemies from a greater distance as well. Combined with a reduction in the number of ricochets, you can defeat the toughest foes in Armored Core 6 while remaining completely out of harm's way. Just be cautious not to use this modification in multiplayer, as it could potentially result in a permanent ban.
