During your progress in Armored Core 6, you will come across a variety of missions, each with its own unique objectives. Some may task you with retrieving an item, infiltrating a location, escorting an armed machine, or simply defeating a specific enemy. While the difficulty level of these missions may vary, one particular challenge stands out in Chapter One, specifically in Mission 7: "Destroy the armed salvage ship."
Merely the name itself hints at the gravity of the task at hand. In this mission, your objective is to single-handedly vanquish a colossal, armed salvage vessel. Initially, it may seem like a monumental undertaking, but it is more manageable than it sounds.
How To Complete The Destroy The Weaponized Mining Ship Mission
How To Get Near The Weaponized Mining Ship (STRIDER)
Fortunately, at the outset of the mission, you do not immediately engage in direct conflict with the STRIDER, which comes as a relief.
Your initial objective is to reach the armed salvage vessel, and the path towards it is fairly straightforward, so you should not get lost along the way.
During your journey, you will encounter some enemies whom you can either eliminate or bypass. However, it is generally recommended to engage with them as you approach your destination.
As you draw closer to the STRIDER, you will notice it unleashing a barrage of blue laser beams and firing rockets. This attack originates from the machine's EYE, but you can easily deflect these projectiles by timing your evasive maneuvers correctly from the sides.
Destroy The STRIDER's Leg Unit
Once you have reached your objective, you will receive instructions to destroy the leg unit, causing the colossal salvage vessel to collapse. This objective will be clearly marked in your mission log.
The process is straightforward: you must continuously target and attack the right leg until it eventually collapses.
Exercise caution, as the machine will continue to launch rockets and unleash those bothersome blue lasers upon you.
Once the vessel is vanquished, you will have the opportunity to climb onto its back and ascend towards the central part of the ship.
Destroy All Sub Generators
After destroying the STRIDER's leg and reaching the center of the ship, you will discover four marked positions on your map that need to be destroyed before confronting the EYE.
These generators are located on the right, left, bottom, and top sides of the ship and are relatively easy to locate.

A good strategy is to destroy the top generator last, as it immediately triggers the boss battle against the EYE.
Destroy The Eye
Now that you have successfully destroyed all four generators, it is time to defeat the EYE, which serves as the core of this armed salvage vessel.
Although the EYE remains stationary in its position, it possesses various attacks that you should be mindful of, such as its laser beam and barrage of rockets.
Fortunately, you can utilize parts of the STRIDER as cover to shield yourself from these attacks.
In the event that you run out of AP or repair kits due to completing the entire mission without interruption, it can actually be beneficial to perish against this boss, as it will allow you to restart at the nearby checkpoint with full AP and repair kits.
After successfully defeating the EYE, it is time to commence your escape.
Escape From The Area
After vanquishing the armed salvage vessel, STRIDER, you will witness its descent and ultimate demise.
A quest marker on your map will lead you to a safe distance from where you can enjoy the spectacle of the STRIDER's destruction.
The successful completion of this mission will reward you with a generous sum of 270,000 COAM.
