In Starfield, various backgrounds and traits offer unique dialogue options within the inhabited systems. However, one option that has gone viral among fans is the extroverted choice, which involves manipulating a patrolling guard.
EarlGrey_Picard was apprehended by a trigger-happy UC officer who stated, "There have been reports of suspicious behavior from someone matching your description." Normally, one would attempt to talk their way out of the situation or engage in an aggressive response, potentially leading to unnecessary bloodshed. However, extroverted individuals can choose to behave childishly and find their way to safety with a playful "Nuh-uh."
"I don't match the description. You match the description," the player retorts. "No, you match the description," says the UC officer. This back-and-forth continues for a while, with the officer growing increasingly angry, until the player character suggests that they must be twins. The voice of the UC officer breaks as he says, "We don't look alike at all." He then accuses the player once again of being the intruder, to which the player responds, "I'm the intruder? Well, someone should know."
Annoyed, the UC officer tries to regain control, but with the extroverted option, you can emphasize that you must be twins since he clearly matches the description. All of this culminates in the desperate officer becoming too confused to recall what transpired. All it takes to avoid getting caught and complete the quest is a bit of manipulation and playful teasing. I apologize, nameless UC officer #1.002.
This occurred during a Crimson Fleet quest where you had to sneak aboard a UC ship called "The Key" in order to steal the prototype of the Comspike.
During this quest, you can find outfits and keycards that grant you unrestricted access to various areas, such as the Ensign's uniform. That's why the UC officer in the video refers to the player as the 'Ensign'.
However, if you wear the wrong uniform, you can get caught, and in this case, the player should have been wearing the pilot's uniform. If they had been wearing it, the officer would have left them alone. But as an extroverted individual, you can talk your way out of the situation regardless.
"I deeply regret choosing to be introverted," said owowowowowtoop.
"Is that so?" replied TheJohnCandyValley. "Our unique dialogue options are something like 'Introverted: Guys, I don't like crowds, but okay, I'll take the job.' And then you take the job."
There are a few other dialogue options like this extroverted one scattered throughout the inhabited systems, but if you want to see them now, you'll have to start over from the beginning. Unless, of course, you resort to using the console (available only on PC) to recreate your character or find a mod.
