Assassin's Creed Mirage: The Weapons Dealer Contract Guide

Contracts in Assassin's Creed Mirage are relatively modest in scope when compared to the primary missions, yet they serve as a swift means of obtaining rewards. While the majority of these mission variants require you to eliminate specific targets within the bustling streets of Baghdad, there is one particular contract that entails the crucial task of safely escorting a high-value individual to their destination.

The task of escorting significant non-playable characters (NPCs) has consistently been a recurring mission type within the Assassin's Creed series, and the allure of this gameplay element is not lost in Assassin's Creed Mirage. Among the contracts, there is one that presents Basim with the responsibility of safely guiding a weapons dealer to a secure location, accompanied by a unique request to ensure not a single blow is struck.

The Weapons Dealer Contract Walkthrough

Assassin

In Assassin's Creed Mirage, the majority of the contracts available in the early stages of the game provide enticing rewards in the form of exquisite attire and formidable swords. One such contract, known as the Weapons Dealer Contract, is among the initial side missions you will encounter. It presents an opportunity to obtain an elegantly designed sword boasting exceptional weapon statistics, along with a weapon perk that proves valuable throughout the mid to late stages of the game.

Finding The Weapons Dealer

After obtaining the contract from the Contract board located within any of the Hidden Ones' Burueas, proceed towards the designated area indicated by the game.

In the event that the contract fails to activate automatically for any reason, you will need to pause the game and navigate to the Investigations menu. Within this menu, you will find a list of the contracts you have accepted. Locate The Weapons Dealer contract and select the option to track it.

The marker will guide you to a bustling city hub filled with numerous houses and bustling markets, but it won't provide the precise location of the weapons dealer. This is because the dealer is intentionally concealing themselves from the authorities, avoiding any unnecessary risks by refraining from venturing out into the open without a trusted companion by their side.

At this juncture, it becomes necessary to employ Enkidu's skills to scout the area. By conducting a swift survey of the buildings, as illustrated in the image above, the whereabouts of the weapons dealer can be discerned. Engage in an interaction with the dealer, who will subsequently express no alternative but to place their trust in Basim for the purpose of being safely escorted.

Take Out Guards Near The Market

Once you successfully accompany the high-priority target, he will request your assistance in neutralizing the guards, as depicted in the image above. Within this area, there are essentially three guards present, and you have the freedom to eliminate them utilizing whichever method you deem suitable.

It is crucial to attempt stealthy strikes from the shadows and eliminate the guards without raising any alarms. Failure to do so may result in engaging in combat, which could lead to potential damage and ultimately jeopardize the successful completion of the Weapons Dealer contract as requested by the contractor.

Initially, we prioritized eliminating the guard stationed on the roof, swiftly dispatching them. Subsequently, we deftly neutralized the other two guards by employing a throwing knife to target flammable pots. This astute tactic resulted in the instantaneous demise of the remaining two guards, all accomplished without triggering a combat scenario.

Assassin

Engaging in visible guard eliminations may lead to an increase in your Notoriety, as the public becomes aware of your actions.

In order to avoid sustaining any damage throughout the Weapons Dealer contract, we strongly advise you to clear your name and prevent the Notoriety level from reaching the third tier. Allowing your Notoriety to escalate to this level will prompt the elite guards of Shakiriyya to closely follow, track, and engage in combat with you, significantly increasing the likelihood of sustaining damage in the process.

Eliminate Guards Posted Besides Large Gate

After successfully navigating through the aforementioned scenario, the subsequent objective in escorting the weapons dealer entails eliminating all guards positioned near the sizable gate, as depicted in the image above.

At this juncture in Assassin's Creed Mirage, it is expected that you have unlocked multiple tools within the game. Employing a smoke bomb on the two guards positioned near the cart will create ample space for you to eliminate both of them stealthily, ensuring that your actions go unnoticed by any observers.

Avoid making a hasty approach towards the guard located at the far end of the gates. Instead, prioritize eliminating an armored guard encountered in the room after the cart. Engaging in combat with this heavily armored adversary, should they detect Basim, will significantly increase the difficulty of avoiding taking damage. It is advisable to rely on stealth tactics and remain concealed within the shadows for optimal success.

Once you have dealt with the armored guard, proceed to eliminate the remaining guard in this area and proceed towards the final encounter of the Weapons Dealer contract. You have two options: you can either deliver a precise headshot to the guard using a throwing knife, or you can strike the door of the cheetah cage, prompting the animal to unleash its fury upon the guard.

Opting for the first option will undoubtedly result in an escalation of your Notoriety level, which we strongly advise against for this particular mission. Therefore, it is highly recommended to adopt a subtle and stealthy approach in order to proceed successfully.

Clear Out Guards Posted At Fountain Area

The concluding phase of the Weapons Dealer contract mission in Assassin's Creed Mirage entails eliminating four guards who have established a line of sight with one another. The most optimal strategy in this scenario would be to ascend the nearby houses and eliminate the guard positioned on the balcony, as depicted in the image above.

After accomplishing the previous objective, endeavor to target the nearby explosive pots, which, when ignited, will engulf the two guards engaged in idle conversation nearby.

During this encounter, there will be civilians situated on the rooftops. It is crucial to maintain a subtle and stealthy approach, ensuring that you do not raise your Notoriety level to the third tier. Exercising caution and avoiding unnecessary attention will be key to successfully navigating this situation.

Proceed to the rooftop of the adjacent house, where you will find a prime opportunity to execute an aerial assassination on the remaining guard. This action will effectively eliminate all threats and ensure the safety of the Weapons Dealer in the fountain area.

Rewards

Once the aforementioned task is completed, the weapons dealer will resume his escape route to reach a safer location. Upon reaching a canal where several boats are docked, he will find a moment of respite and express gratitude towards Basim for successfully escorting him, thereby saving his life from the pursuing guards.

Upon successfully concluding the Weapons Dealer contract mission, you will be rewarded with the following:

  • Four Power Tokens
  • 65 Dirhams
  • 45 Components
  • Rostam Sword

The Rostam Sword is considered one of the finest swords in Assassin's Creed Mirage and can be easily missed if you neglect this contract mission and solely focus on progressing through the main missions consecutively.

The most notable aspect of the Rostam Sword is not its base damage or defensive capabilities, but rather the Chain Reaction perk it possesses. If you are a player who favors combat, you will greatly value the sword's ability to increase damage by five percent with consecutive slashes on enemies. This scaling damage feature enhances the effectiveness of your attacks when engaging in rapid, successive strikes.

By upgrading the Rostam Sword to level three, its devastating potential is further enhanced. With such an upgrade, you can potentially utilize this sword throughout the entire game without ever feeling underpowered or ineffective at any stage. It remains a formidable weapon that maintains its impact and effectiveness as you progress through the game.
