Look, Baldur's Gate 3 is a great game and all, but there's a glaring plot hole that completely ruins the immersion. I'm referring, of course, to the description the narrator gives for Gortash, one of the three antagonists, when we first learn about him in Act 1.
We don't get a clear look at him, but we are told that he is a "handsome, younger man." Although he is certainly younger than the other villains, he hardly matches what many of us had imagined. In fact, he seems to be showing signs of aging, with years of wicked behavior taking a toll on him. However, a fan has come to the rescue and provided us with a mod that aims to make Gortash more closely resemble the description in the game - whether that's for the better or worse.
"Gortash Facelift" does exactly what the name suggests: it makes Gortash look somewhat younger. However, the results are almost disturbingly good. Seriously, this man could have the most flawless skin in all of Faerûn. What's his secret? Whatever it is, it's likely evil.
But the best part is that other players think he looks like the frontman of an emo band from the 2000s. That's pretty hard to ignore, especially since he already sports the dramatic black outfit. Reddit user Stoic_Angel even came up with some band name ideas for him. Fall Out Boytash, My Chemical Gortash, Enver At the Disco - amazing stuff. Although, props to DeadSnark for their first hit song, "Sugar, We're Going Down Down Down by the River."
Gortash Facelift has clearly garnered a lot of fans, as it has been downloaded over 2,000 times in just one day. I'm a little concerned that so many of you are really crazy about him. I mean, if you want a bad boy, Astarion is right there. Even if he sounds a bit like Stewie from Family Guy.
This is by no means the only mod that fans are using to enhance their Baldur's Gate 3 experience. As we reported earlier this month, there is already a mod that allows you to engage in a romance with every character simultaneously. It works by removing all jealousy and making them all open to a polyamorous relationship. After all, you already share the hellish possibility of being transformed into a mind flayer, so you might as well have some fun in the meantime. And honestly, if you can somehow perform actions that please everyone in your group, you deserve as many simultaneous romances as possible. Making everyone happy is the hardest part of the game.
