Venturing in Baldur's Gate 3 can be exhausting. If you've had enough of doing it out in the wild, where you have to expect some unwanted guests, then you should consider renting a room at the Elfsong Tavern. For a small fee, you'll have this room for your entire group for the rest of the game.
How To Rent A Room At Elfsong Tavern
To rent a room at the Elfsong, you need to enter the Elfsong Tavern in the Lower City of Baldur's Gate. It is the second building on the right as you enter the Lower City from Basilisk Gate.
Inside the tavern, go to the bar and speak with the innkeeper, Alan Alyth.
You can rent Alan's room for the entire third act for 200 gold coins or, with a successful persuasion, intimidation, or perception check, get the room for free.
Accept the room, and you will find it on the second floor of the tavern. Go up the stairs at the back of the main tavern area (to the right of the kitchen) and locate the room behind a double door on the right side.
What Are The Perks Of Renting At Elfsong Tavern?
When you rent at the Elfsong Tavern, you gain access to a magnificent chest that contains some unique items, as well as access to the food elevator.
Inside the opulent chest, you'll receive:
- 100 - 200 gold
- Smokepowder Arrow
- Arrow of Salves
The food elevator can be operated on the west side wall of the room. Ask the "culinary specialist" what they have in stock.
You can always purchase a provision pack from the culinary specialist per long rest, a convenient way to ensure you make the most out of a long rest when staying at the Elfsong. After all, nobody wants to go to bed hungry.
