Blasphemous 2 offers a multitude of side quests and tasks, among which the tracking down of five bedridden daughters and candle-lit chambers stands out as one of the more elaborate endeavors, as they lead to brief combat challenges that yield exceptional rewards.

While it can be intricate to locate the rooms where the daughters and candles are situated, the combat challenges themselves can prove even more demanding. Nevertheless, the efforts expended, the time invested, and the mental fortitude required are more than compensated for when one procures valuable altar pieces or curative enhancements, particularly for those who strive to uncover all that this game has to offer.

Daughter & Candle Room One Location/Reward

The initial chamber housing one of the bedridden daughters and a candle is situated in the Grilles and Ruin region. To reach this room, proceed to the easternmost Prie-Dieu and take the exit immediately to its left.

From here, you will leap onto the elevated ledge slightly to the left, then jump from there to the upper right corner of the area, unveiling a room above the Prie-Dieu. Enter the room to discover the first daughter and candle!

Battle Challenge One Reward

After locating the first room with the daughter and the candle, you can return to the room on the right of the Prie-Dieu in the Street of the Guards and interact with the bed to initiate the first combat challenge. Overcoming the waves of enemies will reward you with the Altar Piece of Favor.

The Tirso Altar Piece enhances your damage by ten percent as long as your HP is full, which can prove advantageous in the regions and encounters of the early to mid-game progression!

Daughter & Candle Room Two Location/Reward

Our second room, housing a bedridden daughter and a candle, is located in the Elevated Temple Dungeon. First, head to the Prie-Dieu in the northwest, directly to the left of the area known as the Chapel of the Five Doves.

Then proceed two rooms ahead until you reach the vast chamber adorned with ladders, statues, and elevators. Make your way towards the upper right of this area, where the statue is located, and destroy any contraption you encounter along the way, as they will drop ladders and create valuable shortcuts.

Activate the statue and ride the elevator all the way to the top. Then, conclude the use of the statue. From here, proceed to the left, descend the ladder, and turn right. Swiftly switch to the "Ruego Al Alba" weapon, maneuver beneath the elevator, and execute a downward strike.

If you have done everything correctly, you will shatter a fragile wall on the right side and unveil a new room. Enter this room to discover the second daughter and candle!

Battle Challenge Two Reward

If you desire, you can return to the room on the right of the Prie-Dieu in the Streets of the Awakened to face the second combat challenge, which is a step up in terms of difficulty compared to the first. Nevertheless, successfully overcoming each wave rewards you with the Altar Piece of Descent, "The Thirst."

The Altar Image of Thirst increases your damage by 20 percent when you have depleted all of your bile flasks. This makes it an excellent means to overcome precarious situations or achieve the success or trophy objective of "This Is Blasphemy"!

Daughter & Candle Room Three Location/Reward

The third room, housing a bedridden daughter and a candle, is located in the northeastern part of the "Crown of Towers" dungeon. However, before reaching it, you will need the ability "Mercy of the Wind" (Air Dash) to navigate through the blue chain.

Equipped with this ability, proceed towards the upper right in the dungeon, then jump to the left and utilize your Air Dash to pass through the blue chain. Once you reach the other end, you will notice a statue, but there will also be a room behind it.

Enter the room behind the statue to unveil the third daughter and candle. Don't forget to interact with the candle to extinguish its flame before proceeding to the combat challenge or the next daughter and candle!

Battle Challenge Three Reward

Like the others, you can either jump directly to the next combat challenge or find the next daughter and candle. If you choose to take on the third combat challenge, you will be rewarded for your efforts with an empty vessel.

After obtaining the empty vessel, bring it to the Blood Upgrading Lady in the City of the Blessed Name, who will provide you with an additional bile flask!

Daughter & Candle Room Four Location/Reward

The penultimate room, housing a bedridden daughter and a candle, is located in the fearsome Basilica of Absent Faces, situated near the northeastern corner of the dungeon. However, you will need the Protection of the Heirs (Angel Rings) and the Grace of the Wind (Air Strike) abilities to reach the room.

After acquiring these abilities, proceed to the upper right part of the dungeon and use the Angel Rings on the right side to ascend higher through the room. Utilize your Air Strike to pass through the blue chains if necessary, and continue following the Angel Rings until you reach the upper right corner.

In the upper right corner of the room, there will be a contraption. Jump from the Angel Ring and strike it with a weapon to destroy it. This will open the gate on the left side of the room. Jump down to the spot where the first Angel Ring was and proceed directly across to reach the opened gate.

Enter the room to find the fourth daughter and candle. Make sure to interact with the candle to blow it out and prepare yourself to face the fourth combat challenge!

Battle Challenge Four Reward

The fourth combat challenge will be quite unbearable, so be prepared for everything except the kitchen sink. Fortunately, your time and effort will be rewarded because upon successfully defeating all enemy waves, you will receive a magnificent chalice.

After you have inserted the magnificent chalice, return to the Blood Enhancement Lady in the city of the blessed name and hand it over to her to permanently increase your maximum health by +30!

Finally, our last room is located in the sunken cathedral dungeon, with a bedridden daughter and a candle, but it requires some prerequisites beforehand. First, you need the ability "Protection of the Heirs" (Angel Rings). Second, you must start in the Tower of the Severed.

So, go to the bottom Prie-Dieu of the Tower of the Severed and head to the floor directly above. Once you're here, go two rooms to the right to discover a shortcut that connects the Tower of the Severed to the sunken cathedral.

Once you're here, you will notice an Angel Ring in the area of the sunken cathedral. Jump onto it, follow it to the right, and let the last Angel Ring fly you to a mirror on the right side. Equipped with your Sarmiento & Cenelle (rapiers), jump off the Angel Ring and strike the mirror.

This transforms you into a lightning bolt and hurls you towards a contraption in the upper right corner of the area. Hit the contraption with a weapon to open a gate near the lower left area of the room you are currently in.

Enter this room to unveil the fifth and final daughter and candle. Interact with the candle to extinguish its flame, and then prepare yourself for the final battle challenge!

Battle Challenge Five Reward

Our fifth and final battle challenge is simply an incessant flood of the most powerful and annoying enemies you can encounter in Blasphemous 2. So, prepare for anything and everything. However, your efforts will be more than rewarded as you will obtain the Lebeche Altarpiece of Favor.

The Lebeche Altarpiece increases your critical hit chance by ten percent, but its best feature is that it is one of four altarpieces required to unlock Ending A, the "true" ending of the game!
