Gearbox Software continues its tradition of offering free gifts with a new Shift code that can be redeemed for Golden Keys in various Borderlands games.
The Borderlands franchise has grown significantly and offers high replayability, especially through its loot-hunting mechanics and the use of Shift codes to obtain fresh loot.
The latest Shift code, shared by Randy Pitchford, grants three Golden Keys in Borderlands 3, Borderlands 2, Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, and three Skeleton Keys in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, allowing players to unlock high-quality gear.
Fans of the Borderlands series can rejoice once again as a new Shift code has been revealed and is ready to be redeemed for free Golden Keys. Developer Gearbox Software has maintained its tradition of giving away free gifts for some time now, and Shift codes are always a good reason for Borderlands players to revisit their favorite loot shooter games.
The Borderlands franchise has grown significantly since the release of the original game, Borderlands, in 2009. The entire franchise now consists of seven games, including spin-offs such as Tales from the Borderlands, New Tales from the Borderlands, and Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Most of the games offer high replayability, especially those with the loot-hunting mechanics, where players can obtain fresh loot for free using Shift codes.
The latest Shift code was recently shared by Gearbox co-founder Randy Pitchford. The relevant Shift code is: TTRT3-BK5ZT-XCJW5-B3JJJ-JXXXJ. Players can redeem the code through the official Shift website or via the Shift menu in each game. The code expires on September 7, 2023, at 10 AM CT. Once redeemed, players will receive three Golden Keys in Borderlands 3, Borderlands 2, and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, as well as three Skeleton Keys in Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. These can then be used to open a special chest in the hub area of each game, containing high-quality equipment.
For Borderlands 3, this could be a great opportunity for players to experience the latest update. Borderlands 3 recently received an update that adds many new contents, including an updated interface for the Shift menu. Unlike Borderlands 2, the Golden Chest in Borderlands 3 can sometimes contain legendary equipment when opened. The equipment scales to the player's current level, so it's always a good idea to save these Golden Keys for later use after redeeming them.
Recently, Gearbox also released Borderlands Collection: Pandora's Box, a comprehensive package that includes all games in the franchise - except for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands - giving new players the opportunity to experience the chaotic fun that the franchise always delivers. The new Shift code will undoubtedly be a blessing for buyers of the collection, especially for those who are struggling in their new playthrough. While it may not grant players access to the infinite number of weapons the franchise promises, it can certainly provide them with some of the best ones available.
Borderlands fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming year, especially with the planned release of the Borderlands film. With a new Shift code in hand, this could be a great opportunity to explore the world of Pandora and beyond.
Borderlands Collection: Pandora's Box is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
