The precise location of Celestia in the world of Teyvat in Genshin Impact has long been a puzzle, but a fan has discovered a method to accurately determine it through the use of character perspectives and map entries.
The results suggest that Celestia is located in the unexplored area between the regions of Liyue and Fontaine, giving rise to speculations about potential expansions for the Hydro nation and the possibility of water-rich areas.
It is anticipated that Celestia will be part of the endgame content of the game and may potentially be introduced as a new region after all seven main regions have been explored.
A fan of Genshin Impact has discovered a method to determine the precise location of Celestia on the map. This is one of the most significant locations in accordance with the main storyline of the game, as it is known as the place where several gods of Teyvat reside.
The world of Genshin Impact is called Teyvat and consists of seven distinct main regions, of which currently five are explorable for travelers. The latest major update has finally added the long-awaited region of Fontaine, ruled by the Hydro Archon Focalors, also known as the God of Justice.
Some locations mentioned in the story of Genshin Impact actually do not belong to any of the seven nations. The two most notable ones are the floating island of Celestia and Khaenri'ah, also known as the "Nation Without a God." Celestia is visible from almost every location in the game, as it is situated high above the accessible terrain. Since the game's release in September 2020, fans have been wondering about the exact position of this island on the map. In recent months, players have attempted to determine its precise location through various calculations. A new triangulation shared by a Reddit user named OneMisterSir101 likely provides the most accurate results on this subject thus far.
The entire process doesn't seem overly complicated, as the player simply aligned their characters from different perspectives towards the floating island, doing so within the five currently revealed regions of Genshin Impact. Subsequently, the player drew straight lines based on the character's marker direction on the in-game map. The results indicate that Celestia is located somewhere in the middle of the unexplored area currently displayed between Liyue and Fontaine.
Travelers have wondered why HoYoverse did not connect the Fontaine region directly north of Liyue. Players may soon receive more information about the floating island as future updates could potentially introduce expansions for the Hydro nation. An intriguing detail found in the description of one of the artifact sets in the game has revealed that the Geo nation possesses another port adjacent to the Liyue Harbor.
This has led many players to believe that this unknown area could be predominantly filled with water. Fans are also speculating that Celestia is likely to be part of the endgame content, indicating that it will be introduced as a new region in Genshin Impact after all seven main regions have been explored.
Genshin Impact is available for mobile devices, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a Switch version is also in development.
