PlayStation held its second State of Play presentation for 2023 this week, giving us a closer look at some of the titles we can expect on PlayStation consoles in the coming years. We got a first look at the Separate Ways DLC for Resident Evil 4, along with a very specific release date, as well as new footage of Marvel's Spider-Man 2. The biggest revelation was a new gameplay trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, showcasing some more battles and providing first glimpses of Cait Sith and Vincent Valentine.

Despite all the impressive animations and new playable characters, a particular scene from the trailer drew a lot of attention from fans, and it had nothing to do with Sephiroth's luxurious silver hair. In the middle of the trailer, we see Cloud and the gang exploring the sunny beaches of Costa del Sol, but one would be mistaken to assume that they are doing so on foot. Instead, the group is equipped with something similar to Segways, and fans immediately started making fun of Cloud's little ride along the coast.

Many people have made all sorts of comments about Cloud's rather peculiar appearance in this scene, but the most common one seems to be that the Segway, combined with his new attire, somehow makes him look unemployed. We have definitely seen retirees in exactly this outfit riding carefree on a pier with a Segway. If that's the look Cloud is aiming for, then he has succeeded.

In fact, his clothing seems to be one of the main topics of conversation, as he appears to be wearing a t-shirt over another t-shirt while riding along the coast of Costa del Sol. According to the in-game counter, he has also covered almost 1,000 meters, so he must be sweating for sure.

Then there's the fact that this mercenary, whom we know to be very powerful and incredibly reserved, just looks strange riding on a Segway. Many fans have taken the opportunity to place Cloud and his Segway in other scenes from Final Fantasy 7, where his little vehicle may be one of the most inappropriate ways to travel at that moment.

In any case, it's nice to see a more human side of Cloud, even if he's mercilessly teased for it. You're an absolute goofball, Cloud, but we definitely don't want that to change anytime soon.
