Genshin Impact bug transforms Diluc into the best DPS in the game

Genshin Impact players have noticed an unusual bug that seems to make Diluc the strongest character in the game. This character has been part of it since the game's release in September 2020 and plays a role in the Mondstadt storyline, where he is one of the main protagonists.

Travelers often encounter various glitches that usually make their everyday experience even more interesting. However, some Genshin Impact bugs can be frustrating as they can affect a player's progress in the Spiral Abyss. Fortunately, HoYoverse typically doesn't take much time to go through player feedback and address these issues.

A Reddit user named christenlanger has posted an interesting video that showcases a new Diluc bug, making even the toughest boss domains a walk in the park. Diluc's Elemental Skill, "Searing Onslaught," consists of three parts where he performs a claymore attack, dealing area-of-effect Pyro damage. The video demonstrates that after the second attack, Diluc's model animation appears to get stuck, resulting in him dealing immense damage until the enemy's health bar is depleted. According to the comments, many players have been exploiting this bug in their daily farming experience. Some travelers have also pointed out that players need to have Venti in their team and utilize his Elemental Skill to create an updraft.

However, this bug, like many previous game-altering glitches, has already been fixed by HoYoverse, leaving some Diluc fans dissatisfied. Although he was once considered the strongest DPS character in Genshin Impact, Diluc has been pushed out of the meta in recent years as his damage output couldn't keep up with the newer and more complex characters.

Some players claim that it's somewhat sad that the only way to make this Pyro claymore user effective in today's meta is by exploiting a bug. Genshin Impact players have long been requesting HoYoverse to overhaul some of their earliest characters to make them more effective by increasing their level caps, introducing additional talents, or constellation levels.

The only two ways to obtain Diluc are either losing a 50-50 on the limited character banner or simply spending Acquaint Fates on the less popular standard banner in Genshin Impact. As the character pool on this banner keeps expanding, the chances of getting a specific character like this Pyro user decrease.

Genshin Impact is available for mobile devices, PC, PS4, and PS5, and a version for the Nintendo Switch is also in development.
