Genshin Impact - Explanation of Each Member of the Fatui Harbingers

Genshin Impact has officially revealed the identities of 9 out of the 11 Fatui Harbingers, leaving only Pierro and Il Capitano as the remaining positions yet to be confirmed.

Every Harbinger in Genshin Impact has their own distinct story and purpose. Pierro holds the position of Director within the Fatui, while Il Dottore is portrayed as a brilliant yet eccentric scientist.

The Harbingers in Genshin Impact wield tremendous power and hold crucial roles in the game's storyline. Characters such as Columbina and Arlecchino are depicted as highly dangerous and unpredictable.

Genshin Impact features an intricately developed narrative that unfolds the tale of Teyvat. However, it appears that whenever a problem arises, it is often connected to the Fatui. The Fatui is led by 11 Harbingers, each with their own unique story and objective of acquiring the Gnoses for the Tsaritsa. So far, players have encountered 5 of these Harbingers, but there are details about all eleven scattered throughout the game, waiting to be discovered through character stories and world quests.

For the most part, the positions of the Fatui Harbingers in Genshin Impact have been confirmed. Currently, the game has officially revealed 9 out of the 11 positions. The remaining two positions, which are yet to be confirmed, belong to Pierro, potentially ranked as either number 1 or 0, and Il Capitano, whose speculated positions could be either 1 or 10.

Genshin Impact's Fatui Harbingers

Genshin Impact Every Member of the Fatui Harbingers Explained

Pierro, known as "The Jester," holds the position of Director within the Fatui and is considered at the pinnacle of their ranks, whether designated as 0 or number one. There is little room for doubt when it comes to acknowledging his immense power. Pierro personally played a role in recruiting three other Harbingers: The Doctor, The Balladeer, and The Fair Lady. In the Sumeru Interlude quest, it was unveiled that Pierro was once a royal mage hailing from Khaenri'ah and had lived alongside the sibling from the abyss.

Il Dottore, also known as "The Doctor," holds the position of number two among the Fatui Harbingers. He embodies the archetype of the brilliant and eccentric mad scientist. Previously known as Zandik, he attended the Sumeru Akademiya but was expelled due to his unethical practices, including the murder of a colleague. Pierro personally assigned him to Tatarasuna Island in order to cause chaos and disturbance in Inazuma. Some of his notable achievements include creating clones of himself and fabricating a false deity. In the Sumeru Archon quest's conclusion, he managed to obtain both the Dendro and Electro Gnoses.

Columbina, known as "Damselette," remains shrouded in mystery as very little information is available about the third Harbinger. Both Tartaglia and the Wanderer advise the Traveler to steer clear of her. Despite her seemingly indifferent and unaware demeanor, she is described as exceedingly dangerous. Being one of the top three Harbingers, it is believed that she possesses a power that can rival that of the gods. In various speculative videos, many theorize that she may be the last remaining member of the seelie race.

Arlecchino, known as "The Knave," holds the position of the fourth Harbinger and has long been regarded as eccentric, dating back to Tartaglia's introduction. Despite Tartaglia's inclination towards combat, he appears to want no involvement with Arlecchino. Notably, Arlecchino is not the original Knave but rather surpassed her predecessor after a clash. As the leader of the House of Hearth, an orphanage that trains child soldiers, she is referred to as "Father." Surprisingly, her appearance in Fontaine's quest has been relatively neutral, almost positive, as her objective is to acquire the Hydro Gnosis and reverse the prophetic situation surrounding Fontaine.

Pulcinella, known as "The Rooster," is the fifth Fatui Harbinger. The Wanderer refers to him as the mayor, although not much information is available about him. In Childe's absence during missions, Pulcinella takes care of his family, as he resides in Snezhnaya.

Scaramouche, known as "The Balladeer," was previously a sadistic Harbinger, although he no longer holds that position. He would derive pleasure from the fearful expressions of certain recruits, even keeping them around for that purpose. Both the Tsaritsa and Pierro had dispatched him to the Abyss, although the exact reasons for this are undisclosed. Currently, the seat of the sixth Harbinger remains vacant, and according to Teyvat's accounts, it has remained unoccupied for hundreds of years.

Sandrone, known as "Marionette," is the seventh Harbinger, but there is limited information available about her. She is described as always deeply focused on her work, specifically concerning ruin guards. Beyond this detail, little else is known about her.

La Signora, known as "The Fair Lady," was a renowned diplomat who successfully acquired the Geo Gnosis. However, she met her demise in Inazuma. Her funeral was depicted in the event called "A Winter Night's Lazzo." While some players speculate and hope for her revival in the quest in Natlan, there is currently no evidence supporting such a possibility.

Pantalone, known as "Regrator," is the wealthiest among all the Harbingers. Unlike others who acquired visions, he sought power through accumulating mora, the in-game currency. The Traveler was warned against becoming entangled in his affairs when the treasure hoarder Bao'er got involved in his business during the world quest "Big Business."

Tartaglia, also known as Childe, is the youngest and lowest-ranked Fatui Harbinger. When he was younger, he fell into the Abyss and discovered his Foul Legacy form while receiving personal training from a woman named Skirk. In the Liyue Archon quest, he used counterfeit Sigils of Permission to awaken Osial, believing it would lure out the Geo Archon and provide an opportunity for him to claim the Gnosis.

Il Capitano, known as "The Captain," remains a figure shrouded in mystery, with limited information available about his position or ranking among the Harbingers. However, players are aware that he holds a favorable reputation within the Fatui.

Genshin Impact is currently accessible on PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. Additionally, a version for the Nintendo Switch is currently being developed.
