Genshin Impact leak hints at two repeats for Update 4.1

A new Genshin Impact leak has unveiled that popular characters like Hu Tao and Venti could potentially become available once again in the upcoming Update 4.1. The new Fontaine region has introduced numerous new characters, indicating that players will have the opportunity to expand their rosters with fresh playable units after a few filler updates.

Genshin Impact has already confirmed the arrival of two new characters in Version 4.1: Wriothesley and Neuvillete. Both have also been introduced in the story teasers of Fontaine, indicating that their narratives will be intertwined with the Hydro Nation. Neuvillete has made multiple appearances in the game, portraying him as one of the most powerful characters in Fontaine.

The playable roster of Genshin Impact expands with each new version of the game, likely being the main reason why recent banner cycles have included two characters. This gacha mechanic allows players to pull for two playable units simultaneously. According to a credible leak shared by unclefurro, Genshin Impact Version 4.1 will feature comebacks for two popular characters, Hu Tao and Venti. Hu Tao will appear on the first banner alongside Neuvillete, while Venti is apparently planned for the second half.

Since her release, Hu Tao has been widely regarded as one of the best DPS characters in Genshin Impact, thanks to her unique playstyle that requires players to keep her HP below 50%. This means that travelers must constantly monitor her health bar and ensure she doesn't get taken out by a powerful boss attack. Hu Tao's last banner appearance alongside Xingqiu in Version 3.4 still holds the sales record for Genshin Impact.

Although this Genshin Impact banner features two repeats, it has managed to achieve an enormous number of sales. It would come as no surprise if Hu Tao breaks the sales record once again, especially since she is paired with Neuvillete, who, according to current leaks, possesses one of the most powerful and unique kits in the game. Many fans were anticipating Venti's return in the banner as well, as HoYoverse is likely to follow their usual pattern of introducing an Archon in each update following the release of a new major region.
