Despite the confusion surrounding the presence of a vision on the back of Arlecchino, it is believed to be a placeholder, and fans speculate that she will be a user of the Pyro element and possibly wield a halberd as her weapon.
It is rumored that Arlecchino is one of the most powerful Harbingers of the Fatui and possibly the strongest villain the Traveler has ever encountered. She is also connected to the orphanage of the House of Hearts and possesses the ability to control elemental life forms.
A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed further details about Arlecchino, a new character confirmed to be coming in the upcoming months. The arrival of the long-awaited nation of Fontaine brought a variety of new iconic characters, ranging from the magician duo Lyney and Lynette to the Hydro Archon Furina.
One of these characters is Arlecchino, a member of the notorious Fatui organization, where she plays the role of a Harbinger. Although Arlecchino has not made an official in-game appearance yet, she has been introduced in several teaser videos for Fontaine, including the latest trailer for Genshin Impact version 4.1.
A new post on the Genshin Impact Leaks subreddit has revealed the in-game model of the upcoming Harbinger named Arlecchino. Many fans are confused by the presence of a vision on Arlecchino's back, as Fatui Harbingers can manipulate elemental energy through deception. Although there isn't much information about these items, they are considered artificial visions created by humans and manufactured in Snezhnaya. While the vision could potentially be a placeholder, many fans speculate that Arlecchino will be a user of the Pyro element based on the overall design, with numerous red details in her model. While many players had hoped she would be a sword user, recent rumors claim that Arlecchino will wield a halberd.
According to the latest rumors, Arlecchino is the fourth most powerful Harbinger of the Fatui, which means she potentially is the strongest antagonist the Traveler has encountered in the story so far. The official storyline of Genshin Impact confirms that Arlecchino hails from the Hydro nation and oversees the orphanage of the House of Hearts in Snezhnaya.
A recently completed quest revealed that the two recently released characters, Lyney and Lynette, originate from the same orphanage, and Lynette was saved by Arlecchino in the past. Their skill set has been previously described as "Puppeteer," which suggests that Lynette may have the ability to control different types of elemental life forms. However, these leaks should be taken with caution as Arlecchino will not be joining the playable roster in the foreseeable future.
The live-stream event confirmed that the upcoming Genshin Impact update 4.1 will add two new catalyst users, Wriothesley and Neuvillette. Following HoYoverse's typical character release schedule, version 4.2 is expected to introduce the Hydro Archon Furina from Fontaine, making it highly unlikely for Arlecchino to be introduced in the same update.
