The upcoming version 4.1 of Genshin Impact will introduce two new five-star characters named Neuvillette and Hu Tao, along with a selection of four-star characters such as Xingqiu, Fischl, and Diona.
Neuvillette, a practitioner of the Hydro Catalyst, is portrayed as a formidable character in the region of Fontaine, potentially even stronger than the Hydro Archon Furina.
It is anticipated that Neuvillette's role on the battlefield will be that of a potent DPS character. His charged attack unleashes a powerful hydro beam, albeit at the cost of his own health points. Players can expect the update to be released around September 27th.
A Genshin Impact leak has revealed the banner characters that will appear in the first banner of the upcoming version 4.1. Each update in the game can be divided into two banner cycles, which feature different sets of limited characters and weapons. For instance, the current limited character banner includes two older characters, Zhongli and Tartaglia, along with a strong lineup of four-star characters.
Even though Genshin Impact 4.1 is still a few weeks away, developer HoYoverse has already confirmed the new roster expansions. The upcoming update will feature two catalyst wielders, Neuvillette and Wriothesley, both of whom are part of the new Fontaine region.
A new Genshin Impact leak has unveiled all the characters that will be introduced in the first limited character banner of the upcoming version 4.1. According to the leak, the first part of the update will include the five-star characters Neuvillette and Hu Tao, alongside a lineup of four-star characters Xingqiu, Fischl, and Diona. The official Fontaine storyline has portrayed Neuvillette, the new Hydro Catalyst user, as one of the most powerful characters in Fontaine, which was further confirmed by one of the cutscenes where he effortlessly defeated Tartaglia, one of the Fatui Harbingers. There are even rumors suggesting that he may be stronger than the Hydro Archon Furina, who governs the nation of Fontaine.
Regarding his power on the field, Neuvillette is expected to be a formidable DPS character whose abilities revolve around his charged attack. Similar to Lyney and Ganyu, he will have two levels of his charged attack determined by the charging time. His enhanced charged attack unleashes a potent hydro beam that deals significant area damage, albeit draining Neuvillette's HP in the process. Fortunately, this effect is capped at 50% HP, which should not pose a problem since most Hydro users focus on stacking HP in their builds.
The second five-star character on the banner, the Pyro user Hu Tao, is also renowned as one of the top DPS units in Genshin Impact. Her unique playstyle requires players to constantly monitor her HP, as her damage potential increases when her HP is low. Opinions among fans appear to be divided regarding the lineup of four-star characters.
While some travelers commend HoYoverse's decision to introduce two highly potent four-star units, Fischl and Xingqiu, others claim they were expecting to see some of the recently released playable units. Following the game's regular update schedule, players can anticipate the release of the Genshin Impact update 4.1 around September 27th.
Genshin Impact is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A version for the Switch is currently in development.
