Furina, the goddess of wisdom and one of the seven Archons in Genshin Impact, has unveiled a singular power on the battlefield.
Despite being introduced in version 4.0, Furina will not be playable in the next update, which will introduce two new catalyst users.
Furina's abilities rely on a stacking system tied to her life points (LP) and require players to combine her with a team healer. She may not have good synergy with the popular Pyro DPS character, Hu Tao.
A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed further information about Furina's overall power on the battlefield. Also known as the Goddess of Wisdom, this unique character fulfills the role of one of the seven Archons and was introduced in the ongoing version 4.0 alongside many other Fontaine characters.
So far, it has been the case that each of the four Archons who have appeared in the main story of Genshin Impact joined the playable roster a few weeks or months later. Recent livestream events have confirmed that she will not be playable in the next update, which is reserved for the arrival of two new catalyst users, Wriothesley and Neuvillette.
Recent Genshin Impact leaks have unveiled further details about Furina's abilities and her overall power on the battlefield. According to previous leaks, her skill set will be based on a stacking system tied to her life points (LP), which is common for Hydro users in Genshin Impact. According to the new rumors, in order to effectively utilize Furina, players will need to accompany her with a team healer, as one of her abilities decreases the LP of the entire team composition. The fact that she decreases LP means that Furina will not have good synergy with the popular Pyro DPS Hu Tao, as Hu Tao receives various buffs when her LP falls below 50%.
Pairing the Hydro Archon with Hu Tao could make it challenging to keep track of the HP condition of the Pyro user, especially when facing larger groups of enemies. The leaker claims that currently, the Dendro user Baizhu seems to be the best healer to combine with the Hydro Archon, as he can provide a significant amount of healing for the entire team composition.
Furina's elemental ability allows her to deploy a small, creature-like device that will serve as the primary source of her damage once she leaves the field. This creature provides various buffs depending on the type of attacks the active character employs, similar to Nahida's Illusory Heart. Just like the four Archons released prior to her, Furina is likely to be a highly versatile character that fits well into many types of team compositions in Genshin Impact.
So far, she has been portrayed as a highly theatrical character who thrives on the thrill of the courtroom. As for her exact release date, rumors suggest that she could make her appearance during Genshin Impact version 4.2, which, according to the usual update schedule of HoYoverse, is slated for the first half of November.
Genshin Impact is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A version for the Switch is currently in development.
