When striving for greatness, humanity can occasionally take on more than it can handle. In Starfield, the thrill of space exploration is complemented by more profound moments, where choices carry significant consequences. As Constellation grapples with the aftermath of the "High Price To Pay" events, players will have the opportunity to progress in their main quest by exploring the concept of Unity and its significance.
Once you are able to return to the Lodge, Noel will inform you that, following discussions with the rest of the group, she intends to organize a memorial in honor of your fallen comrade. This will trigger a brief additional main quest titled "Missed Beyond Measure."
How To Wait For The Memorial
Speak with Noel at the Lodge to learn about her arrangements for the memorial honoring the fallen member of Constellation. She will provide you with a five-day window in the game to make preparations for the memorial. Within this timeframe, you are free to leave the Lodge and even venture off the planet if you wish. However, it is essential to return by the fifth day.
Nevertheless, you have the option to expedite the five-day period leading up to the memorial by heading to your room at the Lodge. By sleeping in your bed, you will effectively "wake up" on the day of the memorial, bypassing the remaining days.
At this stage, you also have the choice to entirely skip the memorial. You can achieve this by either sleeping for an additional day or simply leaving the Lodge.
How To Complete Missed Beyond Measure
Proceed to the main area of the Lodge, where you will discover the remaining members of Constellation gathering together. You can observe several members expressing their condolences and offering words of solace. Additionally, you will have the chance to share a few words of your own in front of the Constellation group.
Once you have spoken, you will have the opportunity to engage in conversations with all the attendees of the memorial. These are the moments in Starfield where the emotional essence truly stands out, so if you have reached this point, it is highly recommended to interact with those present and engage in meaningful discussions.
In addition, you have the option to engage in a symbolic "conversation" with the memorial easel, which proudly exhibits the portrait of your departed companion. Engaging in this act will not only pay tribute but also activate quest markers for all the remaining members of Constellation in the Lodge, providing an opportunity for further meaningful interactions.
Another notable presence at the memorial is Aja Mamasa, the former chair of Constellation. Engage in a conversation with her to delve deeper into the backstory of the organization and uncover additional details about your fallen companion, including insightful anecdotes and historical information that may be unfamiliar to you.
At any given moment during the memorial, whether you have conversed with the other attendees or not, you have the option to depart from the Lodge, thereby concluding the quest officially. By choosing to do so, you will be rewarded with a certain amount of experience points.
