The Kameo roster presents a completely distinct lineup of characters compared to the regular character selection in Mortal Kombat 1. You have the option to choose from 15 diverse characters who will assist you in your battles, provided that you possess the knowledge of utilizing them effectively, of course.
However, a significant distinction in this streamlined roster is that a considerable portion of the characters is locked. Five Kameos, including iconic figures like classic versions of Sub-Zero and Scorpio, will await you. How To Unlock Every Kameo
Just like with Havik, you must play the game to acquire your complete roster of Kameo fighters. However, in this case, you don't necessarily have to play the story mode, but rather increase your profile level.
Do not confuse your profile level with your fighter mastery rank, which is specific to each of your characters, or with the penetration level, indicated by the large number below the icons of your characters on the top left side of the screen in penetration mode while you play.
To earn experience points for your profile level, you essentially need to engage in ladder matches, online battles, or the penetration mode. The quality of your performance and your actions during combat determine the amount of points you will earn.
For instance, you will receive more points if you win a fight without losing even a sliver of health and conclude it with a finisher such as a Fatality, as opposed to winning with less remaining health and without a finisher.
Brutalities earn you more points than Fatalities, and even Fatal Blows grant you some points, although not as many as winning the fight without getting hit.

These are the only available Kameo characters at the time of creating this guide, but in the future, more will be available as DLC. However, unlocking these additional characters will require purchasing them with real money, rather than increasing your profile level.
