Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 confirms a brand-new character

Another classic cartoon character has been confirmed for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2: the masked hero El Tigre. The first Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl aimed to replicate the colorful combat action of games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, featuring characters and stages from the popular animated properties of the cable channel. While it didn't quite reach the fame of Super Smash Bros., it sold well enough that publisher GameMill Entertainment officially announced a sequel in July, just two years after the original.

Most of the quirky playable fighters from the first game will return in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, along with some cartoon favorites that fans have been demanding since the announcement of the predecessor. Jimmy Neutron will finally join the fray after his father, Hugh, was added as a DLC character in the first All-Star Brawl. Plankton and Squidward will join SpongeBob SquarePants, and Raphael and Donatello from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will finally spring into action after being absent from the original game.

Another character has been added to the roster of famous cartoon heroes and villains in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. Today, GameMill, Ludosity, and Fair Play Labs revealed that El Tigre from "El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera" will be joining the game as a rushdown character with some of the fastest attacks in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2. El Tigre is also described as a "glass cannon" who excels in a mix of long-range and close-quarter combos. He uses his razor-sharp claws to inflict quick damage on his opponents and his extendable arms to bridge the distance from afar. A trailer showcasing El Tigre in action has been released on GameMill's official YouTube channel.

"El Tigre: The Adventures of Manny Rivera" is one of the lesser-known original shows from Nickelodeon and ran for only one season with 26 episodes from 2007 to 2008. The morally conflicted young hero was teased as a playable character in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 even before the official announcement, with the series creator, Jorge R. Gutierrez, hinting at his inclusion. A leaked screenshot later showed El Tigre battling against his feline ally, Garfield.

Now, El Tigre is officially part of the diverse roster of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2, which includes other popular cartoon characters from the cable channel. While he may not be the most well-known character in the Nickelodeon library, his inclusion is a delight for fans who grew up with "The Adventures of Manny Rivera." His fighting style likely makes him an ideal choice for players who prefer fast attacks with brutal strength. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is expected to be released next year, so there may be further additions of characters from past and current Nick cartoons to the game's roster.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is currently in development for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
