While playing Lies Of P, you will be able to collect many items such as weapons, consumables, and even collectibles. Sometimes, it may not be clear what to do with these items, but if you carefully examine their descriptions, you might discover some clues about their origin or purpose.
In certain cases, some of these items are intended to be used with specific NPCs, adding an additional layer of complexity as you need to find the right NPC to use the item. This is precisely the case with the Faded Whistle.
Where To Find The Faded Whistle
The first thing you need to do is find Toma in Elysion Alley.
When you reach the house in Elysion Alley where the Stargazer is located, then you are close.
From this point onwards, you can also choose to pursue the side quest of the Weeping Woman.
From here, simply follow the main road to the right outside the Stargazer room until you see a ladder on the right side.
Next, descend the ladder to street level, and in front of you, you will hear dialogues coming from an illuminated window; there you can interact with Toma.
Toma is an infected boy who is missing his friend Murphy, and what you need to do is find a specific whistle that was used to summon friends.
Continue on the main progress path until you encounter the battle against the derelict guardian.
After defeating the boss, you will come across a bench adorned with burning candles, and on the left side of the arena, there is a "FRIENDS" sign.
Here, you can pick up the Faded Whistle item.
How To Use The Faded Whistle
The Faded Whistle is considered a collectible item rather than a regular item, which may confuse some players on how to use it. However, first, you would want to make your way back to Toma.
Once you are standing in front of his window, don't immediately initiate the conversation with him. Instead, open your menu and navigate to the section for collectible items.
When you hover over the Faded Whistle, you will find an option to use it.
After you use it, Toma will believe that P is Murphy, even though it's not true. Nevertheless, it brings some happiness to the heart of the sick boy.
With that, Toma's side quest will be completed, and as a reward, you will receive a Radiant Ergo Fragment.
