Persona 5 Royal fashion collaboration announced

A new collaboration between Persona 5 Royal and the Japanese brand SuperGroupies has just been announced, and this time the collection of fashion items includes designs based on the game's main character, Joker. By producing wearable yet unique pieces inspired by the main protagonist of Persona 5 Royal, fans of the role-playing game are likely to consider adding these items to their wardrobe.

For gamers who enjoy integrating their fandoms into their daily outfits, SuperGroupies is likely to be quite familiar. It is one of the few Japanese fashion brands that officially collaborate with video game companies and produce lifestyle pieces that can seamlessly be integrated into a fan's everyday life. Some of the brand's previous collections included Fire Emblem: Three Houses, Kingdom Hearts, Resident Evil, and more. This new Persona 5 Royal collection is not the first from Atlus; the company has previously produced fashion items for Persona 3, 4, 5, and Shin Megami Tensei. However, it appears to be the first one exclusively featuring the Phantom Thief Joker.

According to the SuperGroupies website, the new Persona 5 Royal collection consists of three main items: a coat, a backpack, and a necklace. All of these pieces are inspired by Joker and feature elements of the character that fans can easily recognize. The coat is priced at $260 before taxes and is primarily inspired by the black outerwear of the Phantom Thief. Inside the coat, there is also a woven label inspired by the group's calling card. The Joker backpack is priced at $200 before taxes and has a completely black exterior with a deep red interior. It has small details like a woven label featuring Arsene on the inside and a Joker mask on the outside. Finally, the necklace is priced at $130 before taxes and is a gold-colored piece that incorporates Joker's dagger and mask as special elements.

Although the collection consists of only three items, they appear to be very well thought out. Fans can easily acquire the entire collection and dress themselves very similarly to the leader of the Phantom Thieves, or they can choose one of the few pieces if they prefer to express their fandom more subtly. Regardless of the product they purchase, fans will have to wait until mid-March 2024 to receive their items, as delivery is scheduled for that time.

Depending on how well the items sell, this new collaboration could pave the way for more pieces dedicated to specific members of the Phantom Thieves. Hopefully, Atlus will respond to the demand and collaborate again with SuperGroupies in the future to create additional collections.
