Persona 5 Royal revolves around cleaning up the Metaverse, and it's much easier when you have a group of powerful Personas to make the most of Joker's Joker ability. With multiple different affinities in P5R, it's advisable to cover as many areas as possible with a single Persona, and that's where this supercharged Yoshitsune comes into play.
A fan favorite due to its impressive statistics and impressive signature moves, you will do well to bring Yoshitsune into battle. Follow the special fusion recipe below to obtain the ultimate Yoshitsune in Persona 5 Royal.
Updated on September 24, 2023, by Gabrielle Castania: As Yoshitsune is one of the best physical attackers in Persona 5 Royal, we are updating our guide on how to create the best Yoshitsune in Persona 5 Royal to keep it up to date.
How To Get The Best Yoshitsune In Persona 5 Royal
Part One: Ingredient Persona Fusions
To fuse the strongest Yoshitsune in Persona 5 Royal, you should follow a specific fusion chain to give your offensive powerhouse the most natural resistance abilities, making your Yoshitsune nearly unstoppable.
Follow a fusion chain detailed by u/kmxloco on the Persona 5 subreddit, and you will obtain a P5RvYoshitsune that is immune or resistant to over half of all damage types, protecting you between your powerful attacks.
Some of these base Personas require specific skills to fuse the strongest Yoshitsune in Persona 5 Royal. The absence of any of their skills will create a weakness in the affinity overview of your final result.
Fusion Chain To Follow For A Strong Yoshitsune in Persona 5 Royal
Kali should finish with all three of the above.
Uriel should innately receive Repel Nuke, in addition to everything above
Use the Uriel you fused above for all of its skills
Using this Futsunushi in your final fusion is crucial as it carries the majority of the skills you want to pass on.
Part Two: Fuse Yoshitsune In Persona 5 Royal
Finally, you are ready to actually fuse your Yoshitsune. This will be done using a five-way execution, with the following:
- The Futsunushi you fused above (Magician)
- Yatagarasu (Councillor)
- Okuninushi (Faith)
- Arahabaki (Hermit)
- Shiki-Ouji (Chariot)
If you correctly follow the method mentioned above, the result should be Yoshitsune with the ability to absorb Ice, absorb Wind, absorb Physical damage, and reflect Nuclear power.
If your final Yoshitsune in Persona 5 Royal is missing a crucial ability or you desire additional resistance abilities, you can use skill cards to replace anything you don't want to use.
These are obtained by itemizing other Personas and giving the resulting skill card to Yoshitsune in Persona 5 Royal.
Yoshitsune's Signature Move: Hassou Tobi
Yoshitsune is the only Persona that has access to the attack "Hassou Tobi," an attack that deals eight instances of light physical damage. While the damage itself may be light, with eight hits, this is one of the best physical attacks in the game.
Additionally, it can land critical hits as a physical attack on enemies, increasing the likelihood of doing so by including Apt Pupil in your setup.
You can also combine Hassou Tobi with moves like Charge or Heat Riser if you have access to them. Sword's Will increases the multiplier of Charge by three times, a small but significant difference considering the amount of damage at stake.
Even without a special ability to amplify the attack, Yoshitsune's impressive strength stat in Persona 5 Royal will already inflict enough damage.
With a powerful physical damage attack and the extensive list of resistance and nullification abilities bestowed upon it through careful fusion, your Yoshitsune should be an impressive Persona that assists you in challenging end-game encounters.
