Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have announced the return of fan-favorite Tera Raids

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are reintroducing five-star Terra Raid battles featuring Blissey, providing players with an opportunity to obtain valuable rewards.

These battles typically serve as a precursor to more challenging encounters or offer trainers a reprieve from difficult challenges.

By defeating Blissey in the Terra Raid, players will receive rewards such as Rare Candy, Terra Shards, and vitamins, which can be used to strengthen and prepare their teams for upcoming battles.

As the Tera raids against Decidueye the Unrivaled come to an end, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet have announced the return of five-star Tera Raid battles featuring Blissey. This upcoming round of Tera raids will provide players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with another opportunity to obtain valuable rewards for team-building, including Rare Candy and Tera Shards of various types.

In previous instances, battles against Blissey have typically preceded seven-star Tera raids or have served as a respite for trainers of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet following challenging encounters. For instance, the seven-star Tera raid battle against the Hisuian Grass Pokemon, Decidueye the Unrivaled, tested trainers who were not accustomed to facing fast physical attackers. With powerful moves like Triple Arrows, Leaf Blade, Shadow Claw, and Brave Bird, Hisuian Decidueye necessitated the use of Pokemon exclusive to Pokemon Violet, such as Iron Moth and Ceruledge, to match Decidueye's strength. However, this will not be the situation with the upcoming set of Tera raids.

According to Serebii.net, Blissey will appear in five-star Tera raid dens from Thursday, October 19, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern, until Sunday, October 22, at 7:59 p.m. Eastern. Blissey previously appeared in Tera raid dens in August as part of a two-part series of Tera raid battles to prepare Pokemon trainers for Mewtwo the Unrivaled. Blissey can have any Tera-type, and it is expected to use moves like Seismic Toss and Softboiled to deal fixed damage and heal itself when necessary. Defeating Blissey in the raid will reward players of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with items such as Rare Candy, Tera Shards corresponding to the boss' Tera-type, as well as vitamins like Carbos and Calcium. These items can be used to strengthen Pokemon teams for competitive battles or future Tera raids.

Known as the Happiness Pokemon, Blissey is regarded as one of the top special defenders in the entire Pokemon series. It boasts incredibly high HP and special defense stats, but its physical defense is extremely low. A powerful physical Pokemon like Okidogi or Ursaluna can easily defeat Blissey, depending on Blissey's Tera type.

The return of Blissey to Tera raid battles coincides with the upcoming release of The Indigo Disk DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. Although Blissey will only be obtainable for three days, it remains uncertain what future Tera raid battles will occur in the near future.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are currently available for the Nintendo Switch.
