It has been over a month since Pokemon Sleep was released for all mobile devices. The game is by no means perfect, but it has greatly helped people who struggle with falling asleep. Pokemon Sleep motivates them to maintain regular bedtime routines.
The developers have been consistently keeping players updated with information about new events, fixes, and future content. In one of the recent in-game announcements, it was confirmed that two new Pokemon will be added to Pokemon Sleep. The two new additions will be Mr. Mime and Mime Jr. This is a positive sign as it shows that players don't have to worry about a lack of Pokemon in the game.
Where To Find Mr. Mime & Mime Jr.
Both Mr. Mime and Mime Jr. are Psychic/Fairy-type Pokémon. In the main games, Mime Jr. can evolve into Mr. Mime once it learns the move Mimic. Mr. Mime also has a Galarian form, which is Ice/Psychic type, but so far, only the regular version has been added to Pokemon Sleep.
Since Mime Jr. is the unevolved form, players can expect it to have around five to six points on its friendship gauge. On the other hand, Mr. Mime will likely have around 15-16 points. Both Pokemon will appear starting from September 12, 2023, at 11:30 AM. They are only available at Cyan Beach, so players will need to go to the island if they want to befriend them.
Mime Jr. has a chance to appear after a Slumber Sleep-type, while Mr. Mime requires a Slumber Sleep-type. It is unclear what types of berries and ingredients both Pokemon will gather, but considering their types, it is possible that they could collect Mago Berries or Pecha Berries. There is a possibility that they could be Pecha Berries since they are one of the three berries liked by Snorlax on Cyan Island.
How To Catch Mr. Mime & Mime Jr.
Firstly, players need to move to Cyan Beach and conduct their sleep research there. Secondly, they need to ensure they have a suitable team ready for the island. Unlike Greengrass Island, Cyan Beach has a variety of berries and dishes, so players need to plan accordingly.
To make Mime Jr. appear, players need to have a Slumber Sleep-type. To achieve this, they should have little to no noise in the room while sleeping. Players can also place their phones on the bedside table to minimize noise.
Achieving the Slumber Sleep-type is a bit trickier, as players may occasionally move and make noises in their sleep. Compared to Mime Jr., Mr. Mime will require many cookies to befriend, so players should stock up on them if they want to obtain the Pokémon. However, if Mr. Mime appears hungry, players can complete the task with a single cookie. To increase the likelihood of the Pokémon appearing hungry, players can use a Friend Powder or the Good Stocking Set.
While it is necessary to explore all sleep styles of Mr. Mime, it is better to train Mime Jr. and evolve it.
Pokemon Sleep is available on Android and iOS.
