Event Bonuses
For this four-day event, there will be only one in-game bonus available throughout its duration. During this year's Psychic Spectacular event, you will earn additional XP when catching Pokémon with Curveball throws.
The XP you earn from this can be further increased by using the Lucky Egg item.
By using this item, all XP gained for 30 minutes will be doubled.
Make sure to continuously attempt to catch Pokémon with Curveball throws throughout the entire event to earn a lot of XP and increase your account's level.

Field Research Task Encounters
In addition, during this event, you will encounter certain Psychic-type Pokémon as a reward for completing event Field Research tasks. Make sure to spin Gyms and PokéStops during this event to obtain these Field Research tasks and have a chance to encounter one of the following Pokémon.

Furthermore, you will be rewarded with different Mega Energy rewards by completing additional event Field Research tasks. This includes Alakazam, Slowbro, Gardevoir, and Medicham Mega Energy.
Collection Challenges
During this event, there will be special collection challenges in Psychic Spectacle style. Catch specific Pokémon with the event theme and evolve them to complete these collection challenges and be rewarded with all of the following.
- Psychic-type Pokemon Mega Energy
- Stardust
- XP
Event Egg Hatching
During the event period, you can obtain special 7 km eggs from which certain Psychic-type Pokémon will hatch. Make sure to collect and hatch these special eggs to have a chance of obtaining one of the following four Pokémon.
- Smoochum
- Wynaut
- Chingling
- Solosis
The easiest way to obtain 7 km eggs is by opening gifts in Pokémon Go.
Make sure to do this within the timeframe of this event, as otherwise the 7 km eggs will hatch their typical Pokémon.
Event Pokemon Showcases
Throughout the event, various PokéStops will host event-themed Pokémon showcases. These event Pokémon showcases will feature Spoink, the only Pokémon that can be featured in them.
During Pokémon showcases, typically the largest or smallest Pokémon submitted is sought to award the first place.
For this reason, you should make sure to keep your largest and smallest Spoink to have a strong contender for both types of showcases.
Make sure to catch various Spoink and enter them into these Pokémon showcases to receive multiple valuable rewards. This is especially true if you achieve a high placement or even win these competitions.
