Pokémon Scarlet and Violet: The Teal Mask introduces a new legendary trio into the world of Pokémon, known as the Loyal Three. Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti are the three new legendary Pokémon with a poison-themed focus, showcased in the DLC titled "The Teal Mask."
In order to capture Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, you must first complete the storyline of "The Teal Mask." The initial part of the narrative involves visiting three locations alongside your new companion, Kieran, which is a straightforward task. Once you have completed your visits and gained some insight into the background story, it is time to seek out the Loyal Three.
This guide contains storyline spoilers for "The Teal Mask."
How To Find The Loyal Three
Once you reach the point in the storyline where Kieran runs away with the Teal Mask, you are approaching your first encounter with the Loyal Three.
After a dramatic surge of energy and the revival of the long-hidden trio, Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, the Loyal Three swiftly depart the scene, compelling you to pursue them.
After a brief cutscene, return to the town of Mossui and inquire with the locals about the escaped Pokémon.
Gathering Info On The Loyal Three
In the town of Mossui, you must inquire around until you find three individuals with text bubbles above their heads.
Each intriguing person will display the name of the Pokémon they have information about. Therefore, it should be relatively easy to locate them.
All three individuals are located along the street or near the community center. Do not wander too far away, and you will quickly spot them.
Fezandipiti Location
Fezandipiti is the most challenging of the Loyal Three to reach, as it conceals itself high up on a cliff edge on the eastern side of Mount Oni, forcing you to ascend steep inclines in order to reach it.
Fly to the Kitakami Hall and proceed westward to ascend the colossal mountain from there.
Munkidori Location
Munkidori is easy to find as it is located in the southwestern part of Kitakami and has a convenient fast travel option to the east of it.
Fly to the Plaza of Loyalty and then head directly west until you reach the Wisteria Pond.
Okidogi Location
Okidogi is hiding in the northwest in the Paradise Wastelands, where numerous Pokémon roam the surrounding area.
Fly to the fast travel location Paradise Wastelands and then head north to encounter Okidogi.
If you haven't unlocked this fast travel location yet, traverse Oni Mountain from the Hall of Kitakami, and you should reach the Wastelands shortly.
First Encounter: Titan Form Battles
This is your first battle against any member of the Loyal Three after they have regained their strength. So be prepared for an epic fight.
You can only battle these Pokémon during this section, and they will flee if they are defeated.
Currently, there is no way to capture them. So don't panic after you win the battle.
Fortunately, all Titans can be easily defeated with some strong Pokémon - Level 80+ is recommended to get things done quickly.
If you have caught a Mewtwo through Tera-Raids, it will help to quickly finish these battles.
With Psystrike, you can easily take down Okidogi and Fezandipiti as both are weak against Psychic types, while Shadow Ball can quickly deal with Munkidori.
How To Catch The Loyal Three
After defeating each member of the Loyal Three in their Titan forms and completing the story of "The Teal Mask," you can challenge Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti once again, this time with the opportunity to catch them.
Each Pokémon is located in the same place where you encountered them when battling their Titan forms.
There are no markings on your map, and this time the Loyal Three will be in their normal, non-titanic size.
Catching Fezandipiti Strategies & Tips
Level: 70
Moveset:
- Flatter
- Swagger
- Roost
- Beat Up
Fezandipiti may be the most challenging member of the Loyal Three to catch due to its annoying moveset designed to hinder your Pokémon and heal itself.
Fezandipiti will be found at the location of its Titan battle, not at the cliff's edge where you first encounter it before it escapes through the caves.
It will continue to use Swagger and Bragging against your Pokémon, causing them to become confused and attack themselves.
Considering this situation, it is best to inflict a persistent status effect such as paralysis so that you don't have to struggle with repeatedly applying sleep, for example.
Furthermore, you should bring a Pokémon that cannot be poisoned to avoid being affected by the Loyal Three's ability "Toxic Chain."
Try to make Fezandipiti exhaust all of its resting spots before attempting to catch it. Otherwise, you will constantly have to lower its HP again after it heals itself.
Catching Munkidori Strategies & Tips
Level: 70
Moveset:
- Psychic
- Sludge Wave
- Nasty Plot
- Future Sight
Munkidori is a completely different encounter than Fezandipiti, as this mischievous little monkey can put your Pokémon in danger with its strong moveset.
Bring a Pokémon with False Swipe to reduce this member of the Loyal Three to 1 HP without having to worry about knocking it out.
Once its HP is low, bring a defensive Pokémon into battle to intercept attacks while you attempt to catch Munkidori.
Catching Okidogi Strategies & Tips
Level: 70
Moveset:
- Poison Jab
- Brutal Swing
- Crunch
- Superpower
The strategy for Okidogi is the same as for Munkidori, except that the threat to your team comes from its physical attacks, unlike Munkidori, which relied on special attacks.
Okidogi is likely the easiest to catch as it doesn't have an exceptionally annoying moveset like Fezandipiti, and its attack stat is lower than Munkidori's special attack stat.
This will be a battle of attrition, as the False Swipe and paralysis combination is a matter of luck to secure the last member of the Loyal Three.
