PS Plus Extra and Premium will add 17 new games in August 2023, including 2 releases on the first day

Sony has officially announced the extensive list of PS Plus Extra and Premium titles that will join the service starting from August 15th and beyond. This list includes two games that will be available on the first day for PS Plus: Sea of Stars, which will be released on August 29th, and Moving Out 2, which will join the other games on August 15th.

A brief glance at this PS Plus list reveals the diverse selection for the month. There are a few kid-friendly games like PJ Masks and Hotel Transylvania, some more intense titles like Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, and a wide range of genres. Given that some may be disappointed with the free PS Plus games for August 2023, including Death's Door, Dreams, and PGA Tour 2K23, this compilation provides a fantastic way to fill the month.

Starting from August 15th, the following games will be available on PS Plus Extra: Moving Out 2, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Lost Judgment, Destroy All Humans 2: Reprobed, Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition, Source of Madness, Cursed to Golf, Dreams, PJ Masks: Heroes of the Night, Hotel Transylvania: Scary Tale Adventures, Lawn Mowing Simulator, Spellforce 3: Reforced, and Midnight Fight Express. Sea of Stars is an exception to the "all on the same day" rule, but fans can rest assured that they will receive it on the proper release date. The PS Plus Premium titles include MediEvil: Resurrection, Ape Escape: On the Loose, and Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice, rounding out the additions.

Sea of Stars and Moving Out 2 are exciting additions on the first day for PS Plus. Sea of Stars is a tactical RPG with a touch of retro flair, joining a long list of TRPGs released just this year. Meanwhile, Moving Out 2 is a fun and hectic cooperative moving game that improves upon the elements of the original. Although PS Plus may not offer games on the first day as frequently as the Xbox Game Pass does, it's hard to criticize the selection.

Overall, fans will receive a total of 20 games in the PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Premium catalogs this month. There is a high probability that there will be something they like among them, but if not, fans can expect an equal number of games to be added in September, continuously proving how great the service is.
