While Xbox Game Pass adds games on their release day each month, it is rare for PS Plus Extra to feature games on their release day. Even rarer is the occurrence of the same game being available on both PS Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass on its very first day of release, but that is precisely what has happened with Sea of Stars.

In some way, Sea of Stars has been made available as a day-one release on both PS Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass. This significantly simplifies the process for anyone interested in trying out the game, as it can be played on PC, PlayStation consoles, and Xbox consoles through a subscription fee, rather than purchasing the game outright. And if the reviews are any indication, PS Plus Extra and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will definitely want to give Sea of Stars a chance.

According to the review aggregation website OpenCritic, Sea of Stars currently has an overall rating of 90. The reviews for Sea of Stars have been predominantly positive, with many praising it as a remarkable modern interpretation of classic JRPG tropes.
