PlayStation Plus Premium members can now play the controversial game "Atomic Heart" for a limited time, allowing them to form their own opinion on the controversial title.
PS Plus Premium subscribers have access to a variety of benefits, including free play of selected PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP games, as well as the opportunity to try out new games for a limited time.
The game selection for August 2023 on PlayStation Plus Premium includes popular titles such as Lost Judgment and Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, as well as first releases like Moving Out 2 and Sea of Stars on their release day.
Members of the Premium tier of PlayStation Plus gain access to a trial version of one of the most controversial new games of 2023, as users can now play Atomic Heart for a limited time. PS Plus Premium subscribers enjoy a variety of benefits compared to the other two tiers, as fans in this category can play selected PS1, PS2, PS3, and PSP titles at no additional cost.
PS Plus Premium members can also try out games for a limited time, allowing them to access these titles for a few hours. Many games offer two to three hours of gameplay, but some trial periods can last up to five hours. This list includes highly acclaimed games like God of War Ragnarok and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition, in addition to The Callisto Protocol, Park Beyond, and many more. Sony regularly updates the full list, with Atomic Heart now available for PS Plus Premium subscribers.
PlayStation Plus Premium members can play Atomic Heart for up to two hours at no additional cost. Fans should note that all PS Plus Premium trial versions include the full game, and their progress will carry over if they decide to make a purchase. While two hours may not seem like much, an average playthrough of Atomic Heart takes about 15 hours. This trial version allows users to experience a decent portion of the game. A complete playthrough takes significantly longer, as achieving 100% completion in Atomic Heart can take around 35 hours.
Atomic Heart received mixed reviews upon its release, as the PS5 version holds a score of 70 on Metacritic. The launch of Atomic Heart was also overshadowed by controversies, as Ukraine demanded that the game should not be released. Nonetheless, this new trial version for Atomic Heart allows players to form their opinion based on the two-hour period.
PS Plus Premium users have access to the full game selection, which is also available to Extra members, and Sony has added 17 new games to the collection in August 2023. This list includes Lost Judgment, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Two Point Hospital: Jumbo Edition, Cursed to Golf, and more, with Moving Out 2 and Sea of Stars starting as first releases. In addition to the games added to the Extra tier this month, PlayStation Plus Premium members can also play Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice, Ape Escape: On the Loose, and MediEvil: Resurrection.
