Red Dead Redemption 2 offers you a vast sandbox to roam around in, and it is not just filled with empty deserts. There are numerous camps, barns, towns, and other notable areas. Additionally, there is an abundance of hidden treasures that only the most dedicated explorers will uncover.
One such example is the Saint Denis Vampire. This creature is a typical Nosferatu-like monster that feasts upon any unfortunate soul that happens to cross its path. Most players will never stumble upon the creature on their own. However, thanks to the internet and social media, you may have heard about it from others who have witnessed the beast with their own eyes. Well, now you too can find it by following these instructions.
How To Get The Vampire To Spawn
The vampire is not someone you can simply spot wandering the streets of Saint Denis. You must summon the creature.
To do this, you need to find five pieces of cryptic writing that are scribbled on walls throughout Saint Denis.
Mysterious Writing Locations
You will find the peculiar messages in the southeastern district of the city. Here are their exact locations:
You need to go up and 'inspect' each message.
General Store Message
At the southeastern edge of the city, you will find a department store near a railway track.
This store has two doors. Next to the one closest to the railway track, you will find the piece of writing on the wall.
Five bones beneath the perfect star. Nosferatu with Dominica shall become mortal once again.
Back Alley Message
Slightly north of the post office and down the street from a weapon vendor, you can find a backyard area. At this location, there are two sets of green wooden stairs.
Underneath one of them, there is a tunnel that you must go through. Once you do, you will find the message on the wall to your right.
This one says:
Oh sweetest neck. May your blood forever linger on my lips. There shall be six before the craving is sated.
Apartment Building Message
This message can be found in the area behind the weapon vendor. From the street, you walk through the alley next to the Jade Dragon Chinese Restaurant.
Once you do that, you will come across a residential building on your right side. The piece of writing is located on the wall after the second lamp.
The message reads:
With a long kiss, I drain her life and await at the outpost of the advancing day.
Soup Kitchen Message
The soup kitchen is located across the street from a saloon. There is a large sign for the place.
Go to the right of the sign and turn left at the first intersection. The message is located right at the corner of the building when you turn the corner.
I drink from the virgin and live again in the dead. The heart of the blood circle.
The market is located on the eastern side of Saint Denis. The market itself is not marked on the map, but there is a fur trader there to indicate its location. The message you are looking for is in a small enclosed area right next to the main entrance of the market.
The gate may be closed when you approach, but you can open it. Once you're inside, the writing is simply on the left wall.
The message reads:
I nourish once again the blood of life, the circle has begun.
Meet The Vampire
Once you have inspected all the messages, the protagonist will draw a pentagram in his book. This indicates the location where the vampire will appear.
He is located in an alley across the street from a butcher shop and a department store. He only appears there between midnight and 1 a.m. You can recognize that he is there because when you approach him, a corpse appears on the map at the spot where he is supposed to be.
When you encounter the creature, you will quickly realize that he is not the friendliest guy, as he will threaten you. If you provoke him or simply refuse to leave, he will attack you.
You need to be cautious, as he can kill you with a single shot. If you manage to kill him, you can obtain his intricately decorated knife.
