The Blue Medallions have made a comeback in the Resident Evil 4 Remake, and there are significantly more of them than in the original game. These shining discs, placed by the cultists known as Los Illuminados, can be found throughout the village, castle, and island. By destroying these medallions, you can receive rewards from the merchant. Whenever you come across one, be sure to keep an eye out for several others in the vicinity - make sure to collect them all before proceeding further!
It is always worth taking the extra time to destroy each blue medallion, unless you are attempting a speedrun. The additional spinels obtained from doing so will provide new weapons, extra crafting materials, or even an exclusive upgrade ticket!
This guide contains minor spoilers.
Updated on April 3, 2023: We have updated this article to include a video guide that will show you where to find all the blue medallions in the Resident Evil 4 Remake.
Blue Medallion Locations - Farm
Immediately after the first major battle on the village square, you will come across the farm. The first building you encounter is a hut with a typewriter. Check the backside of the exterior of the building to find the first blue medallion of the game.
Opposite the sealed gate beneath the windmill, you will find a large barn. Look up to spot a medallion hanging from a window on the second floor.
At the farm where the animals are kept, look through the rear window of the cowshed to get a clear shot at the third medallion. You can also see it from the inside, but there is no good angle to hit it.
While you are inside the farm, enter the small pigsty and look up at the attic beams to find another medallion.
Once you reach the mechanical room of the windmill, exit through the side door and jump down to ground level. Immediately turn around and look at the underside of the platform from which you jumped to find the final medallion of the farm.
Blue Medallion Locations - Fish Farm
As you walk through the quarry tunnels, you will come across a shrine pathway on the left side. When you do, turn back and position yourself against the right wall. By looking all the way up, you should be able to spot the blue medallion hanging from a scaffold above the left wall. It is easiest to hit it if you have the rifle and the scope.
After battling against the Brute and his followers at the beginning of the fish farm, look inside the hut located at the top of the ramp for a easily recognizable medallion.
In the middle of the fish farm, position yourself between the two sections of the collapsed bridge. Look through the slats of the tower on the left wall to find a blue medallion.
Upon collecting the boat fuel from the generator house at the fish farm, exit the building and turn left. You will come across a chest containing the Hexagon Piece B. Stand in front of the chest and look directly away from it to spot a blue medallion.
On the shore of the lake, before boarding the boat to battle Del Lago, go all the way to the right from the point where you climb down the scaffold. Look underneath the pier, and you will barely notice the blue gleam of a medallion. It may not be immediately visible, but when it rotates, you will be able to see it and take a shot at it.
Blue medallions will be displayed on the map once you have accepted the corresponding merchant request. Utilize this feature to search for areas of interest and sightlines if you encounter any difficulties!
Blue Medallion Locations - Castle
While ascending the staircase, just before the catapult attack, look over the side to the right at the tree below. A blue medallion hangs from a branch.
When operating the cannon for the first time, look to the left of the bridge - there you will find a blue medallion in a window that you can destroy in a spectacularly epic manner!
While standing at the artillery, look behind you - there you will find a blue medallion and a pack of resources that can be collected!
After you're done with the artillery, jump down through the hole in the roof into the tower. Immediately look towards the platform mechanism, and you will see a blue medallion that is easily accessible.
Since you cannot go back the same way, follow the path until you reach a door that you can unlock to return to the main area. Behind the door, on the left side, you will find a blue medallion and a chest containing an elegant bracelet!
After dealing with the catapults, stand with your back to the destroyed door leading to the next area. Look up and to the right, and you will see a blue medallion hanging from the tower.
Blue Medallion Locations: Grand Hall
When you first enter the main hall, look to the right in the foyer, just before the merchant's torch. There is an easily accessible blue medallion on the wall.
As you approach the Chimera statue, look behind the rotunda. A blue medallion hangs behind the rearmost pillar.
The large chandelier in the grand hall has a blue medallion hiding near its center. It is easiest to spot it from the upper level.
Before descending into the armory to retrieve the lion's head, look into the niche behind the location where Ashley is standing to find a blue medallion.
Look underneath the balcony where the leader of the zealots first appears in the gallery. You need to turn towards the entrance from which you came to see the blue medallion.
In the dining hall, a medallion is hidden behind the curtains of the window closest to the portraits of the gentleman and the lady.
Blue Medallion Locations - Cargo Depot
When you first enter the depot from the merchant's hideout, look to the right. A medallion hangs in the distance. Remember to use a regular scope instead of the bio-sensor if you want to hit it with a rifle!
After falling down the broken staircase, you fight the appearing pair of Ganados. Once you have defeated them, look up and to the left to see a medallion on the crane bridge.
Next, you follow the path to the left from the spot where you fight the first pair of Ganados. You will see a medallion hanging on a red cargo container.
Return to the main corridor from which the Ganados came and look for stacked crates on the right side. The next blue medallion is located behind them. Be warned that shooting the medallion is likely to alert the Ganado near the staircase, so it may be worth destroying this medallion after you have discreetly taken care of him.
As you climb the stairs to the upper level, look back and to the left before entering. The fourth blue medallion is hanging on the side of a water tower.
Blue Medallion Locations - Cliffside Ruins
Immediately after the helicopter is destroyed, kill the Novistadors and descend the ladder in the destroyed building in front of you. In the room below, look out of the rightmost window. You will barely be able to spot a blue medallion among the rocks. Your viewing angle must be just right, so move if necessary to get a better view of it.
Afterwards, return to the surface and start making your way back to the fortress. With precise positioning, you will be able to see through a hole in the wall behind the ladder you just climbed and hit the blue medallion there.
Finally, follow the main path. You will be able to see a medallion hanging on the side of the cliff.
Take out your rifle and look through the scope at the church tower in front of you. A medallion is hanging in one of the windows.
Follow the same path and look to the left at the scaffolding directly below the fire on the roof to discover the final blue medallion of the game.
