Rumors surrounding Genshin Impact suggest the possibility of two new skins for popular characters

A new rumor about Genshin Impact has unveiled which two characters will be receiving new outfits next. While cosmetic items play a significant role in most gacha games, there haven't been too many alternative skins for their playable characters since the release of HoYoverse's most popular title.

Genshin Impact introduces approximately four skins per year, two during the Lantern Festival and two around the Summer Event. The previous 3.8 update brought two new outfits for popular characters that were already introduced in 2020: Kaeya and Klee. Kaeya is the second free unit to receive a new outfit, following Lisa, who received her Sumeru-themed skin in version 3.4.

A new post from a Twitter account called Teyvattabloid2 has revealed that in the future, two characters from Liyue could receive new outfits. These two characters are the five-star Cryo bow user, Ganyu, and the four-star Hydro sword wielder, Xingqiu. If the rumors are true, the skins will most likely be part of the Lantern Festival, as both characters hail from the Geo nation where the festival always takes place. In terms of quality, both skins are said to have a four-star rarity. It should be noted that these leaks should be approached with caution as the Lantern Festival is still many months away.

In terms of their strength on the battlefield, both Ganyu and Xingqiu are regarded as S-tier characters in their respective roles. Despite Ganyu being released in version 1.2 alongside the Geo alchemist Albedo, she remains the preferred Cryo DPS character for many Genshin Impact players. She was the first archer to possess a unique charged attack that has two stages determined by the duration of the charge.

To elevate their DPS potential to the next level, players need to utilize Ganyu's Level 2 charged attack, which inflicts area-of-effect Cryo damage. The four-star character Xingqiu is considered one of the most powerful Hydro users in the game and is a member of the renowned National Team composition. Although this team composition consists solely of four-star characters, it often ranks at the top of the usage charts in the Spiral Abyss.

Xingqiu is an outstanding support character or off-field DPS character who can consistently apply Hydro damage to nearby enemies. Considering that he is a four-star unit, Genshin Impact players can easily obtain all the constellation levels of Xingqiu.

Genshin Impact is now available for PC, PS4, PS5, and mobile devices. A version for the Nintendo Switch is currently in development.
