After reaching the desired level in farming, crafting a Tapper only requires 40 wood and 2 copper bars. Players can then place the Tapper on any accessible oak tree. It takes approximately 1 in-game week with a regular Tapper and 3 nights with a heavy variant of the Tapper to fully extract the Oak Resin. The Oak Resin can be collected by interacting with the tree when the Tapper displays the symbol for Oak Resin.

Other Ways To Acquire Oak Resin

Although Tappers are the most reliable way to obtain Oak Resin in Stardew Valley, there are also other less effective methods for players to acquire this resource. One such option is defeating Ghost Skulls in the mines. These skulls can be found in the Quarry Mine or deep in the mines on the dungeon levels, and they have a drop rate of 1.3% for Oak Resin.

Due to its versatile applications, Oak Resin remains a sought-after item throughout the year. Since the resource can also be collected in winter, players should take this opportunity to craft more items or sell the resin to make a quick profit.

Crafting Recipes

Oak Resin is primarily used in two crafting recipes, namely Deluxe Speed-Gro and Kegs, both of which require a farming level of 8.

• The Deluxe Speed-Gro is made using 1 Oak Resin and 1 Coral. It stimulates leaf production and increases the growth of crops by 25%.
• Kegs are the best item to craft with Oak Resins and should be a part of every player’s inventory. They are made using 30 Wood, 1 Copper Bar, 1 Iron Bar, and 1 Oak Resin. Kegs are used to make beverages like Wine and Coffee, which can be sold for Gold.

Bundles And Quests

Furthermore, Oak Resin is also an important component in two bundles at the Community Center, namely the Wizard's Bundle on the Bulletin Board and the Exotic Foraging Bundle in the Crafts Room.
