Starfield offers a wealth of features and backgrounds to truly make your character unique. You will be able to express unique lines of dialogue in conversations and even gain access to loot that would typically be locked based on your chosen background and attribute. The Sanctum Universum Chest is an outstanding example of this.
The Sanctum Universum is the place of worship for all those who follow the universal faith. A belief that states that God has guided humanity towards space exploration. As a result, the Universalists believe that a deity is guiding them. The Sanctum Universum Chest is a chest that only appears within the Sanctum Universum for players who have chosen the sublime universal religious attribute.
How To Find The Sanctum Universum
If you have chosen the sublime universal religious attribute, you should visit the Sanctum Universum as soon as possible. You can do this during the "One Small Step" mission, after landing on New Atlantis on the planet Jemison in the Alpha Centauri system.
The Sanctum Universum is a relatively small building, but it stands out due to its gold-adorned roof and walls.
You will find the Sanctum Universum in the MAST district of New Atlantis. To reach there, you can either take the NAT tram or the MAST elevator from The Wells. We recommend the tram as it offers a more direct route.
You will find the Sanctum Universum at the reservoir between the Gal Bank and the Embassy of the Freestar Collective. During your first visit, you will encounter Keeper Aquilus, who gathers there with the followers of the universe.
Ascend the ramp from the NAT tram and then turn right. By proceeding along this path, you will reach the Embassy of the Freestar Collective and subsequently arrive at the Sanctum Universum.
Alternatively, you can exit the MAST building and turn left to gaze upon the reservoir of New Atlantis, where you will easily spot the Sanctum Universum.
You can speak with Keeper Aquilus to learn more about the faith. He will also give you the task of reading his book, "Among The Grav Jumps," which is located in the Sanctum Universum. However, it is not necessary to do all of this in order to gain access to the Sanctum Universum Chest.
The Sanctum Universum Chest
You will find the Sanctum Universum Chest on the floor in front of Keeper Aquilus' office. The Sanctum Universum has a streamlined design and a small interior, ensuring that you cannot overlook the chest.
If the chest does not appear, it means you have not activated the sublime universal religious attribute. While you cannot join any religion after character creation, you do have the option to remove your religious attribute.
The Sanctum Universum Chest contains some useful items to start your Starfield adventure. However, it does not contain any unique contents.
You will not find any exotic or rare items in the chest. It simply contains a Neocity Poncho or Neocity Urbanwear outfit, med packs, medical supplies, and three volumes of the Sanctum Universum books. The outfits can be obtained by looting pirates or even purchased from merchants in New Atlantis.
