Starfield: How to Obtain Med Packs

During your adventure in Starfield, you will encounter a multitude of perilous extraterrestrial creatures, inevitably leading to injuries and wounds. Moreover, distant planets harbor numerous toxic gases and hazardous environments, which are further exacerbated when playing on the "Very Hard" difficulty level.

Under these conditions, you require a continuous supply of Med Packs, items that keep you alive and aid in restoring your health. Knowing where to find them is crucial, and fortunately, there are several methods through which you can acquire Med Packs and enhance their effectiveness.

Where To Find Med Packs

There are numerous opportunities to stock up on Med Packs while exploring the galaxy, whether it be through purchasing them from doctors and merchants or locating first aid kits.

First aid kits always contain medical supplies and Med Packs. The recesses of the first aid kits emit a blue glow to signify the presence of Med Packs, trauma kits, and other medical provisions, and once everything has been taken, the blue light fades away.

The weapon modifier "Medicine Theft" increases the chance of human enemies dropping Med Packs. This is a brilliant way to gather Med Packs when you find yourself in a remote location.

Alexei, the practicing doctor at Reliant Medical, can be found near the MAST building on the opposite side of Gal Bank. He stocks the best medical supplies in New Atlantis, including a variety of Med Packs, Trauma Packs, and Heart+.

An efficient way to gather a large number of Med Packs is by sleeping in the beds at Wells Med Bay to replenish the medical supplies provided by Talia O'Shea.

How To Heal Faster

Med Packs are a solid choice when you've taken a few hits in combat. However, sometimes you need an additional boost for your health regeneration, especially when playing on the "Very Hard" difficulty level.

To make the most of your Med Packs, it is advisable to invest in the Medicine skill, which can be found in the Science skill tree. The Medicine skill has four ranks and increases the healing power and speed of Med Packs, Trauma Packs, and Emergency Kits by ten percent starting from rank one.

Trauma Packs are superior to Med Packs because they heal seven percent of health in five seconds, while Med Packs only heal four percent in ten seconds. Trauma Packs are ideal in combat situations when you're taking a lot of damage and don't have time to heal.
