Starfield: The 8 Best Places to Use the Photo Mode

Starfield is beautiful. From the glowing lights of the neon city to the desolate landscape of the moon, Starfield is filled with stunning locations that will leave you in awe. No matter where you go within the populated systems, there will always be something amazing to behold.

While traveling through the stars, it's important to occasionally pause and smell the roses. Once you've completed your journey, you'll want to look back on your adventures and relive some of the memories you've gathered while exploring the most beautiful places in space. In other words, take plenty of photos!

8 Old Earth Locations

Starfield 8 Best Places To Use Photo Mode

In the 22nd century, humanity realized that Earth's magnetosphere would collapse in the near future, rendering the planet uninhabitable for all life forms. As a result, humanity focused on developing gravity propulsion technology that would allow them to leave Earth and colonize planets beyond the solar system, which are light-years away.

In the presence of Starfield, Earth has become a barren wasteland. The only remnants of humanity on the planet are grand landmarks such as the Empire State Building in New York City or the Osaka Tower in Japan. These buildings are completely abandoned, but their solitary nature makes these forgotten landmarks eerily beautiful and a perfect place to snap a few photos.

7 Constellation Lodge

Starfield 8 Best Places To Use Photo

The Constellation Lodge in New Atlantis may appear somewhat dull from the outside during your first visit, but it's what's on the inside that matters. As you step inside, you'll be greeted by a beautiful wooden structure and a lovely stained glass window featuring the image of a compass, which proudly sits above the entrance to the main lobby.

In the lobby, there are floor-to-ceiling bookshelves brimming with books, a crackling fireplace, a serene greenhouse, and, of course, your collection of extraterrestrial artifacts floating in a spherical arrangement in the center of the room. If you're looking for an indoor space to take some photos, the charm and cozy atmosphere of the Constellation Lodge make it an excellent place to bring out your camera.

6 Paradiso

Starfield 8 Best Places To Use

Paradiso is a holiday resort located in the Porimma system on Porimma II, and its beauty becomes evident from the moment you step foot on the planet. Paradiso boasts an environment reminiscent of tropical islands, making it a perfect destination for people looking to spend a vacation in the inhabited systems.

Paradiso features a beach with a bar and a volleyball court, making it a perfect spot to soak up some sun and capture beautiful beach pictures. If the beach vibe isn't your thing, there's also a nightclub at the top of the Paradiso building, adorned with plenty of neon lights that provide pretty cool lighting for photos. If you're looking for some great vacation shots, Paradiso is the place for you.

5 The Moon

Starfield 8 Best Places To

The beauty of the moon has been admired by humanity for thousands of years, and its beauty continues in Starfield. Of course, the lunar body orbiting the Earth is barren, with little more than craters and dust, but that doesn't stop it from being a fantastic place for photography.

There is something beautiful about the desolate nature of the lunar surface. When you take a few pictures there, you will quickly understand that it is one of the best places for photography in the game. And if you want something special, you can even visit the Apollo 11 landing site, where NASA astronauts first set foot on the moon in 1969.

4 Mars

Starfield 8 Best Places

Similar to the moon, Mars also has a rather barren surface. If you take a single step outside of Cydonia, all you see as far as the eye can see is red sand and rocks. At first glance, there isn't much to see. However, don't be fooled by the barren nature of Mars; it is still an amazing place to take some pictures.

Mars has a rather interesting topography that makes it an excellent candidate for a photoshoot, and the way the sun shines through the atmosphere gives the photos a unique visual look that cannot be replicated anywhere else in the game. Additionally, if you want to take photos with historical artifacts of space exploration, you'll find NASA's Opportunity rover on the surface, abandoned in the Martian soil and no longer functioning. Don't forget to pay a visit to Opportunity!

3 Gas Giants

Starfield 8 Best

Gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn are abundant in inhabited systems. With each new system you visit, there is likely to be a gas giant orbiting the star of that system, and all of these gas giants are absolutely stunning.

However, there is no way to land on or walk on these gas giants. After all, they are made of gas! Nevertheless, these gas giants provide the perfect backdrop for some space photography. Capturing your ship orbiting a gas giant is a great way to add visual interest to your ship photography, and photos of the gas giants themselves are undoubtedly worth the trip to see one.

2 New Atlantis

Starfield 8

New Atlantis was the first settlement established by humanity upon arriving on the planet Jemison in the year 2160. Today, in the year 2330, New Atlantis is a bustling center of human activities, housing the government of the United Colonies as well as some of the largest corporations in the inhabited systems.

Of course, over time, the architecture of New Atlantis has evolved and become something visually unique and beautiful. From the plants and trees that adorn the city to the towering MAST building that reaches into the sky, New Atlantis offers thousands of locations where you can capture stunning photos.

1 Neon City

Starfield

Neon City exudes personality, and it's not hard to see where it gets its name from. Neon lights flood the streets of the city, giving it a distinct cyberpunk aesthetic. Moreover, it almost always rains in Neon City, causing the city lights to reflect in the puddles, adding to the glow.

Neon City is also home to a variety of cybercrime, gangs, and nightclubs. If you're looking to have some neon-drenched pictures with cool cyberpunks in the rain, check out Ebbside or the Underbelly. And if you're seeking something with less wetness, you can visit the Astral Lounge to experience more of the neon aesthetic and pulsating electronic music. For pictures that look like they are taken from Blade Runner, Neon City is the place for you.
