Starfield: The 8 Most Powerful Rifles, Ranked

As you navigate through the populated systems in Starfield, it becomes clear that the weapons on your spaceship may not be the only protection or ammunition you need out there, as there are many situations where you will need to carry weapons with you.

You need to be armed to defend yourself against pirates, spacefarers, and even alien wildlife, and there are many weapons scattered throughout the game, including handguns, shotguns, and rifles. To inflict significant damage with each shot, you'll need a good rifle, and here are some of the best ones.

8 Acid Rain

Starfield 8 Most Powerful Rifles, Ranked

The Acid Rain Rifle has a fire rate of 170 and an accuracy of 70.3 percent, with a solid magazine size of 50. Although the weapon only inflicts three points of physical damage per hit and has a limited range of 22, its fire rate compensates for the weak damage, as the sheer number of shots can overwhelm your targets.

With that being said, range is still a major issue, but this weapon offers many other excellent advantages. It has eight available mod slots and weighs 2.40, which is lightweight by rifle standards. However, the biggest selling point of this weapon is its random corrosive damage, which weakens enemy armor for up to six seconds.

7 Tempest

Starfield 8 Most Powerful Rifles,

The Tempest inflicts 19 points of physical damage and has a fire rate of 90 with a magazine capacity of 36. The weapon can hit targets at a distance of up to 40 meters, with an accuracy rate of 68.8 percent. This makes it a great option if you want to keep some distance from your enemies.

This rifle also has six mod slots for you to play around with. But what puts the Tempest on this list is that the rare version of this rifle grants you access to volatile rounds, designed to inflict even greater damage.

6 Peacekeeper

Starfield 8 Most Powerful

The Peacekeeper offers 17 points of physical damage per hit, a fire rate of 112, a magazine capacity of 50, a range of 41, and an accuracy of 72.2 percent to round out its statistics. In addition to its balanced nature, this reliable rifle has eight available mod slots.

A rare version of the Peacekeeper also offers an extended magazine that doubles the base magazine capacity, giving you a capacity of 100. This makes this rifle one of the most versatile weapons in the populated systems.

5 Eternity’s Gate

Starfield 8 Most

Eternity's Gate is a particle beam rifle powered by heavy fusion ammunition. This impressive weapon can deal 17 points of physical damage and an impressive 50 points of energy damage within a range of 60 meters. The magazine holds 20 rounds with a fire rate of 25, and with an accuracy rate of 81.6 percent, it will certainly hit your targets.

This rifle can stand up to almost any enemy and can be further enhanced if you choose to utilize the six available mod slots. A rare Eternity's Gate grants you access to volatile rounds, while a legendary version of the weapon is equipped with even more special effects.

4 Unmitigated Violence

Starfield 8

With such a name, it's no surprise that this laser rifle inflicts an outstanding base damage of 125 points per hit and can shoot from a distance of up to 52 meters while maintaining a fire rate of 33. With a magazine capacity of 50 rounds, this thing was made to cut through any potential enemy foolish enough to try their luck against you.

With all these impressive stats, the availability of seven mod slots for the rifle means it can be further enhanced to inflict even more damage. If you happen to come into possession of a legendary Unmitigated Violence rifle, you will be able to send a target into a frenzy, cause random radioactive damage, and deal double damage to targets at full health.

3 The Fiscal Quarter

Starfield

The Fiscal Quarter rifle may only cause five points of base damage per hit, but its incredible fire rate of 180 ensures that it hits your targets an overwhelming number of times before they can react. This fire rate is combined with an impressive magazine capacity of 40 rounds, and it can hit targets at a distance of up to 40 meters with an accuracy of 73.5 percent.

If you have a rare Fiscal Quarter, your shots will have a devastating effect that renders your enemies' armor useless. The weapon has seven available mod slots and costs only 3,740 credits, incredibly affordable considering the amount of damage it can inflict with all its attributes.

2 The Gallow’s Reach

Gallow's Reach is an Olodo Earth assault rifle that inflicts 18 points of physical damage and has a fire rate of 150 with a magazine capacity of 30. Gallow's Reach can hit targets from a distance of up to 40 meters and has an accuracy rate of 70.6 percent. It features seven mod slots, causes random poison damage, and has the ability to slow down enemies.

However, what sets the Gallow's Reach rifle apart is that it's simply an ordinary old Earth-style rifle. Compared to the futuristic and extravagant appearances of some other rifles, the Gallow's Reach almost feels like an antique that would go well with Sir Livingstone's pistol to provide an even more immersive role-playing experience.

1 The Revenant

The Revenant is an extremely destructive rifle that will instill fear in the hearts and minds of all aggressors you encounter. The weapon inflicts an incredible physical damage of 78, has a tremendous fire rate of 375, a magazine capacity of 150, and can hit targets with an accuracy of 69.8% at distances of up to 85 meters.

In addition to all that, the rifle also has five mod slots to make it even deadlier. Furthermore, if you have a legendary version of this rifle, you gain access to an extended magazine that increases your magazine capacity to an incredible 300. This also provides a slashing effect that randomly applies the bleeding condition to a hit target, making the Revenant the most devastating weapon in Starfield.
