Summary of Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 introduces a heist theme, adding excitement and intrigue to the game's story and gameplay.

The Battle Pass skins are all designed in a heist style, with players unlocking more characters as they progress and eventually reaching the villain Kado Thorne.

New weapons and modifications enhance the heist experience, including a metallic briefcase that transforms into a turret cannon and a rocket-powered battering ram.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 has just launched with a new theme, bringing along many new features worth discussing. It wouldn't be Fortnite if the island didn't continue to evolve in some way between seasons, and the latest iteration does not disappoint. It appears that the strengths of the previous season have been mostly retained and are only bolstered by the new additions. Although the season is still in its early stages, everything suggests that players can look forward to an exciting season.

Although the disappointing mission change from the previous Fortnite season still persists, the majority of the game seems to have either improved or remained the same. Augments are still present to make matches more interesting, and longstanding elements like NPCs and traders continue to be reliable. However, the true test of a season lies in how well its new features perform, and Chapter 4 Season 4 offers many new things worth discussing.

Fortnite's Chapter 4 Season 4 Theme is Full of Intrigue

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 Breakdown

After focusing on exploration in the last season, the theme of the new Fortnite season revolves around heists. A new character, Nolan Chance, leads a crew comprising the majority of the Battle Pass skins to carry out a major heist. The target, Kado Thorne, is a mysterious vampire with the ability to transform into a terrifying, beast-like creature. The aspect of heists brings a lot of excitement to both the background story and the gameplay, and this is reflected in the adjustments made on the island.

The skins available in the Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 Battle Pass all relate to the heist storyline. Players start with the leader, Nolan Chance, and unlock more members by earning more levels and stars. In order, they unlock the getaway driver Piper Pace, team member Fish Thicc, the excited hacker Mae, the fashionably dangerous Antonia, and TikTok star Khaby Lame. Appropriately, the final skin in the pass is the actual target of the heist, the villainous Kado Thorne, complete with his monstrous alternate form.

Another adjustment has been made regarding the Fortnite Nolan Chance Snapshot quests. While there were Snapshot quests in the previous season as well, this time they increase the player's reputation with a character and measure how much they respect them. By completing enough quests, players can unlock additional services from the respective character during an in-game meeting. In addition to incentivizing players to focus on Snapshot quests, it is a fun implementation of the season's theme, requiring players to prove themselves to the crew.

Fortnite Just Added Several New Heist-Themed Weapons

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4

Under the selection of new weapons in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, there are a range of new tools that seem tailor-made for a heist. The Business Turret is a metal case that transforms into a turret cannon when unfolded, providing the player with additional firepower. Even more exciting is the Rocket Ram, a rocket-powered battering ram that can not only cause damage but also allows the user to easily traverse long distances. The return of remote explosives is also a perfect addition to the heist theme.

In addition to the new weapons, Fortnite has also brought back several mythical weapons from past seasons, allowing players to wield them once again. Classics like TNTina's Ka-Boom Bow, Kit's Shockwave Launcher, and Midas' Drum Gun have returned for players fortunate enough to find them. However, players must venture into the most dangerous parts of the island to obtain them. The rewards, though, make the heist worth the risks.

In addition to the new weapons, Fortnite also introduces several new reality augmentations to the players on the island. With First Shotgun and Pistol Salvo, the damage of their respective weapons is increased, while Sniper Striker grants sniper rifles a life-stealing effect. Fast Fisher and Ammo Drop are excellent for players who want to gather fish and ammunition faster, while On The Go Bag allows players to acquire mobility items more easily. Although none of the effects significantly impact the game, each of them can provide a much-needed boost.

Fortnite's New Island is a Perfect Setting For a Heist or a Fight

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season

As with every new season, the iconic island of Fortnite has undergone changes once again, this time in the name of Nolan's Plan. There are three new POIs, Eclipsed Estate, Relentless Retreat, and Sanguine Suites, owned by Kado Thorne and containing his riches. Each of these locations is heavily guarded, both with guards and surveillance cameras. However, players who break into their vaults can get their hands on some of the unrestrained mythical weapons, at least as long as they can escape with the loot.

Some notable landmarks on the island are Fortnite's new weather towers. Each tower has nearby guards who possess a keycard, similar to the vaults in past seasons. When the player uses a keycard at a tower, they can see the upcoming storm circles, gaining a tactical advantage as a result. While this may not be as impactful as plundering a powerful weapon from a vault, information is always useful in the game. At the very least, players can ensure they stay clear of the storm.

The last significant change worth mentioning is Fortnite's loot-filled heist bags. Heist bags essentially function like chests but have some key differences. Firstly, they only appear at Thorne's Estate or in Nolan and Antonia's hideout in Frenzy Farm. Secondly, they frequently contain Business Turrets and Rocket Rams, making them a good source for the latest weapons in the game. Even if they don't, they still help equip the player with ammunition and items. Since they often appear in one location, players can quickly fully prepare themselves.

The benefits of Chapter 4 Season 4 are not over yet, as Ahsoka Tano will also join Fortnite later in the season, adding another prominent skin to the game. The current season makes good use of its theme, and the new items and mechanics introduced contribute a lot to the gameplay. In fact, some of them could easily make a return in future seasons as well. There is a lot to experience in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, and players should make the most of it.

Fortnite is now available for Android, iOS, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
