The initial challenge in the fourth chapter of The Expanse: A Telltale Series is to unlock the mine tunnels on Cassiopeia Station. They are secured by an age-old password system that you must first activate before even considering finding the correct code.
Although this challenge may seem deceptively simple, one tends to overestimate it, even when the solution is staring them in the face. If the password doesn't quite fit, you're not alone. This guide will walk you through the entire process of unlocking the tunnels step by step, allowing you to continue Drummer's quest for survival.
How To Turn The Power On
In order to activate the password console near the minecart, which is located close to the tunnels you used in the previous chapter to reach the grave, you will need to solve a distribution box puzzle, similar to Chapter Three. The boxes are located on the wall behind you after you have inspected the console first.
Hover to the upper right corner of the power grid and connect the boxes in the following order:
- Down
- Down
- Down
- Left
- Left
Just like before, there is no penalty for making a wrong connection, apart from the inconvenience of having to disconnect the box and try again. Once the power supply is activated, return to the console.
What Is The Correct Password?
The password system requires you to draw a shape by connecting the diamonds displayed on the screen. The shape you need is actually the green wires you just connected on the distribution box wall. Start from the upper right corner and connect the diamonds in the following order:
- Diagonally down and to the left.
- Diagonally down and to the right.
- Diagonally down and to the left.
- Diagonally up and to the left.
- Horizontally to the left.
You should end up at the second diamond from the bottom on the far left side. Once all the required connections are made, you can pull the lever and move the minecart, opening the path down into the mines.
