Version 1.4 of Honkai: Star Rail will introduce two new five-star characters, Topaz and Jingliu, as well as a four-star character named Guinaifen.
Jingliu is highly anticipated by players due to her role in the game's storyline, and her abilities focus on dealing single-target frost damage and providing various buffs.
Topaz is a character designed for fire hunting, dealing strong single-target damage and having a companion named Numby who inflicts additional damage. Both Topaz and Jingliu are expected to be released on October 11th.
A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail showcases the gameplay animations for the game's two latest five-star characters debuting in Version 1.4: Topaz and Jingliu. The playable roster of the sci-fi RPG from HoYoverse has significantly grown since its launch in April, adding many new characters to the game. The recently released Version 1.3 introduced a trio of characters: Imbibitor Lunae, Fu Xuan, and Lynx joining the lineup. Now, leaks provide a hint at two more characters already announced for the game's upcoming update.
After the debut of the special program in Version 1.3, Honkai: Star Rail would reveal the lineup of new characters joining the RPG in the following Version 1.4. HoYoverse would officially announce Topaz and Jingliu as two new five-star characters joining the roster, along with the four-star character Guinaifen. Early leaks and teasers have already made Jingliu one of the most anticipated characters in the game due to her role in the mythology of Xianzhou Luofu. The latest leaks from Star Rail now provide a taste of the gameplay for both Version 1.4's five-star characters.
A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail leaker NotALeak has revealed the gameplay of both Topaz and Jingliu, showcasing their combat animations. Jingliu is set to be introduced in Honkai: Star Rail as an ice character in the Path of Destruction, with her normal attacks and skills dealing single-target damage. Jingliu's Ultimate ability inflicts AoE ice damage and grants her various buffs, including Effect RES, speed, and ice damage amplification. The video also hints at her talent Spectral Transmigration, which provides even more buffs and allows access to her enhanced skill.
Similar to Jingliu, Topaz in Honkai: Star Rail also appears to inflict heavy single-target damage and is introduced as a character designed for fire hunting. Topaz has a tiny companion named Numby, a Warp Trotter, who deals additional damage after Topaz's attacks. Topaz's Ultimate ability grants her significant damage boosts by increasing both her overall damage and critical damage while triggering Numby's follow-up attack. Both Topaz and Jingliu are expected to be released with Version 1.4, which is scheduled to launch on October 11th.
The introduction of Jingliu and Topaz in Honkai: Star Rail is just the beginning of several planned characters for the game in the near future. Leaks have already teased Huohuo and Argenti as a pair of new five-star units expected to debut in the Version 1.5 update of Star Rail. Interviews with HoYoverse have also hinted at the possibility of future crossover characters from Honkai Impact 3rd, particularly Raiden Mei and Yae Sakura. Both Topaz and Jingliu appear to be strong options for damage-focused characters for Star Rail players following the launch of Version 1.4.
Honkai: Star Rail is now available for PC and mobile devices, and a version for the PS5 will be released in the fourth quarter of 2023.
