The Honkai Star Rail leak reveals the gameplay of the new character Guinaifen

A new leak from Honkai: Star Rail offers a glimpse of the in-game animations and gameplay of the upcoming four-star character, Guinaifen, expected to be released during Version 1.4. Fans of HoYoverse's latest RPG have already been treated to many new additions to the character roster since its debut this year. Each update has introduced a pair of five-star characters as well as a brand-new four-star unit, adding powerful and popular options such as Silver Wolf, Kafka, and Yukong, among others. Now, leaks give fans a taste of the featured four-star character in Version 1.4.

While the Version 1.3 update of Honkai: Star Rail has not officially launched yet, HoYoverse is already preparing fans for what's to come in the next update. Earlier this month, the developer unveiled the two latest five-star characters that will join the game's character roster with Version 1.4: the highly anticipated Jingliu and Topaz. HoYoverse also revealed a brand-new four-star character set to appear in Honkai: Star Rail with Version 1.4: the street performer Guinaifen from Xianzhou Luofu, as a new fire unit. The latest leaks about the game now showcase how Guinaifen will operate in Star Rail.

A video shared by Honkai: Star Rail-Leaker Star Rail Universe through his co-leaker Dim reveals Guinaifen's complete gameplay in Honkai: Star Rail. Guinaifen was previously unveiled as a fire character in the Nihility Path, and the video showcases her basic attack, where she attacks enemies with her staff, as well as her skill, where she throws a dynamite staff at enemies. The video also showcases Guinaifen's ultimate skill, where she summons several of her lion companions to execute an explosive attack. No information about the effects of Guinaifen's attacks was revealed in the video.

The video also showcases several of Guinaifen's idle animation sequences in Honkai: Star Rail alongside her combat gameplay. Many of Guinaifen's animations pay tribute to her past as a street performer, as she juggles and uses a mini-gong while in idle state. Guinaifen's technique allows her to attack enemies from a distance and surprise unprepared opponents in the game world. Although HoYoverse has not confirmed when Guinaifen will be released as part of the update, leaks have suggested that she will make her debut alongside Topaz in the second half of Version 1.4.

Guinaifen's addition to Honkai: Star Rail will serve as the latest among several characters added to the Nihility Path in updates released after the game's launch. As previously mentioned, Star Rail has already added two new Nihility five-star units to the game, Kafka and Silver Wolf. Luka was also released as a four-star Nihility character during Version 1.2, more than doubling the roster of Nihility characters in Star Rail since its release. Upon her debut in Version 1.4, Guinaifen will provide many useful functions to fire-element teams.

Honkai: Star Rail is now available for PC and mobile devices, with a PS5 version set to be released in the fourth quarter of 2023.
