The Ministry of Labor is a way to register your Sim's career in the game, even if they don't follow a traditional career path. Typically, this involves activities such as crafting and selling items, but there are no limitations.

If you have a Sim who enjoys painting, writing books, singing, or programming but doesn't want to pursue the structured freelance career path with clients and feedback, etc., the Ministry of Labor is the solution. It can also be used if you want to tell unique stories with your career by staying outside the structure but still being recognized as busy.

How Do I Register With The Ministry Of Labor?

To register, you must ensure that your Sim does not have a job. This is because the registration process essentially corresponds to the career selection process. Therefore, you can only do this if you are unemployed, at least according to the career tab in the game.

Then simply follow these steps:

Open your Sim's mobile screen and navigate to the yellow briefcase icon - the Career tab.

Scroll down to "Register with the Ministry of Labor" and select it.

This will display a menu that asks for details.

Fill in the chosen career for your Sim and provide a brief description. There are no content restrictions, but there are character limits.

Remember to treat this like a short post on social media about your new job.

Once happy, select the tick icon to confirm.

Your Sim will then display their new profession in the career tab.

To view it, simply click on the career button in the bottom right corner, and the selected title and description will be displayed.

Once you are registered, the game recognizes your employment in terms of social interactions. You can talk about your work, and when asked about your occupation, your Sim will use their job title instead of saying they are unemployed.
