Walkthrough for the Cyberpunk 2077 Space Oddity Quest

Cyberpunk 2077 showcases the various aspects of Night City, where crime and violence are pervasive, but where you can also stumble upon mysteries, love, and friendship. In a sprawling city like this, you may find yourself entangled in dark situations, but also encounter plenty of humorous and light-hearted moments.

One of those intriguing situations occurs in the Space Oddity side quest, where a seemingly accidental incident transforms into an artistic revelation. Here is everything you need to know about it.

How To Start Space Oddity

This quest will become available only after you have completed the main quest 'Playing For Time'. To unlock it, you need to go to Santo Domingo, specifically the Rancho Coronado district, where you will come across three homeless men attempting to open a laptop unsuccessfully.

After engaging in conversation for a while, you will have the option to either purchase the laptop from them, intimidate them if your Body stat points are high enough, or negotiate with them if you have the Streetkid Lifepath. However, even after obtaining the laptop, opening it will present another challenge.

If you possess high levels of Intelligence, you will be able to open the laptop quite easily. However, if your Intelligence stat is lacking, you will need to go to the nearby location where the homeless individuals discovered the laptop. There, you will come across the deceased previous owner, and you can acquire their access shard to unlock the laptop.

Irrespective of the method you choose, once you open the laptop and examine its files, it will initiate a delivery in the Badlands. Therefore, you will need to proceed to the designated meeting point.

How To Get The Painting

The coordinates provided will lead you to the Badlands, close to the Protein Farm. As you approach, you will witness a package descending from the sky. Upon reaching the location, you will encounter two Militech vans and seven soldiers who are protecting the landing site.

Upon successfully defeating all the soldiers, search the container to discover a renowned painting titled "Untitled 18 – Brancesi, 2021." Johnny will provide his commentary on the artist. Once the quest concludes, you will find the painting prominently displayed in your apartment.
